Ross.
Quite an impressive shitting of the bed by Celtic last night, albeit one that has been seen often before. Over the two games they created enough good chances to have won the tie comfortably, in the end they were well beaten by a team who can at best be described as organised and hard working. All 3 goals conceded last night were absolutely abysmal from a defensive point of view, though I'd say the misses from Elyounoussi and Forrest in the first half are probably equally as bad as Simunovic's attempt to pass it back to Forster. 39 minutes ago, Jacksgranda said: Celtic get no challenge in Scotland so are crap in Europe. Copenhagen are absolutely nowhere near the level of Lazio and Celtic performed far better against them, in the away leg in particular. That mentality saw them deservedly papped out in the end. Rangers have struggled domestically in games where they appear to have gone in with exactly that same attitude, but the European games Gerrard has had them fired up for. A bit of luck in the draw and they could be looking at the quarter finals.

If celtic looked at the lazio results as a marker then they should have remembered that a lot of times in the group stages, teams from decent countries dont bother their arses etc Same for some of rangers results, 4 points off porto doesnt mean we'd beat braga,

Celtic put absolutely everything into that game and got the win. Last night they created a few good chances but were largely outworked in key areas. Copenhagen were content to wait for Celtic to make a mistake and they punished them when they did. It was an abysmal result for Celtic, all things considered. Odd thing is with the way the Rangers game has gone and the fixtures it creates it could end up putting the finishing touches on the league title.

All 4 goals conceded in this tie are all laughably bad goals to lose aswell. I mean we werent great in the 1st half tonight, but still looked comfortable and created the better chances but after Jozo's howler in the 2nd half everything went to shit in a hurry and the team panicked and too many players just simply weren't at the races. ach well 6 hours ago, TheCelt67 said: An average team bested us over two legs. GordonD
Whenever Celtic were humped in Europe, Brendan Rogers used to claim it was because the other sides had a far bigger budget than they did so could afford to buy better players. (And he never saw the irony in it.) What's the excuse this time?

Shaky defence still but that forward line would decimate any team in our country.

nsr
What a joke Celtic are. Bored out of their skulls with no challenge domestically. Didn't even reach the group stage of the one tournament that still means something to them. Completely failed to turn up at home to a team with a fraction of their resources in the tournament they pretend to care about. Watching the highlights and seeing their "fans" celebrate the penalty - you just know that not a single one of those cretins would be sitting there if the team stopped winning stuff. roverthemoon
Absolutely fucking ludicrous that the Police are charging people in connection with the incident at the Copenhagen goal. Ridiculous in the first place that the policeman is running at a footballer who has just scored and manhandling him in the middle of a celebration, especially when he’s running towards his own fans. No wonder his teammate pushes him out of the way. Hopefully this nonsense gets treated with the contempt it deserves
