How did Leon King get on ?

He looked absolutely fine. The pelanty challenge was a mistake that CBs 10 years older than him will make, so it's no disgrace. He put in a couple of lovely tackles and some nice interceptions, while looking very tidy on the ball. I'd take him to the Turkey game in November.

I love the false sense of security they are getting that Liverpool are good again. It’s Rangers, they were brutal. On Sunday, Arsenal will use them as a sex toy.

Yeah turned it off when Ferdinand started spouting that garbage post match. They were pretty uninspiring and looked as vulnerable as ever when Rangers started to attack down the flanks.

It's easy to say in hindsight of course, but surely GVB should have looked at the state of Liverpool this season and thought it was worth having a bit of a go at them.

That looked for all the world like a St Mirren, St Johnstone, or equivalent, going to Ibrox or Parkhead. Five across the back, trying to avoid a gubbing, hoping to snatch a 0-0 if the opposition have an off day. No intent in going for it yourself, just trying to not concede for as long as possible. Set up so negatively, cannot get out of your own half. Then, at half time, maybe realise you aren’t playing Brazil 1970 after all. Show a little bit more intent, make a chance or two, but fcuking miss them…. Big boys get a penalty, the little air you had gets sucked out of you, and the big boys run out comfortable winners despite not being that great. Afterwards, there’s the thought that with a bit more conviction, and a lot less shitting your own pants, the big boys had been ‘there for the taking’ too.

Pleased that the ‘Rule Britannia’ hordes get to know how we feel just about every time we face the Glasgow uglies. *

*Except for this. St Mirren 2 Sellik 0. GIRFUY. 😀

yet another poor result for one of Scotland's biggest spending & supported clubs. Can't wait for the inevitable phone in, media articles, pundit debates and whinging fanbase about why this is the fault of ALL the other Scottish clubs just not trying hard enough to create a competitive domestic competition, as its not helping the OF overcome the cash disparity that is seen within their CL opponents.
