We were already guaranteed EL groups even if we had gone out to the Belgians. Something to do with the Russian clubs ban I believe. The main difference is that we secure a €5m parachute payment that we would now get if we lose to PSV. Wouldn't have been the case if we'd lost to USG. And a qualifier by it’s structure is a knockout tie because if you don’t win it you are indeed knocked out.
