Rory Stewart is the one to watch.  A particular kind of duplicitous arsehole.

Despite only ever being an Eton Highlander in the black watch for 6 months he claims to be part Scottish.

He could try and convince the weak minded re union

He is the danger from a Scottish point of view.

The rest of them are laughable bumptious bellends and nothing to worry about.

His family come from Crieff and he was brought up there, Hong Kong and Malaysia. His Dad was born in Edinburgh, not sure about his Mum.

He's wandering the countryside trying to debate with people. It's that kind of proselytising that might work elsewhere but is a massive turnoff to UK politics; He looks too keen.

He also looks like he's waiting by the road for Dorothy to come along and offer to help him find a brain, the optics aren't there either.

He's probably the most sane out of all of them tbf. He'd be great in the sense that he'd probably be the most moderate and then completely implode electorally because he is perceived as a bit odd.

Rory Stewart is this contest's version of Liz Kendall from 2015 - representing increasingly unpopular and endangered wings of their parties, both immediately hyped by Westminster-based journalists and media types on Twitter, but not so popular with the people that actually matter to get anywhere: members and colleagues.

Esther McVey on Sky News this morning defending the protests by parents who are taking their children out of school because they are being taught about same-sex relationships. “Parents know best for their children” is not always the case. Absolutely vile stance to take.

I imagine what Rory Stewart is trying to do is position himself for a position like foreign secretary (which, to be fair, he’d be far more qualified for than most) as despite his increasing exposure, he still only has 2 MPs publicly supporting him.

For what it’s worth though, I think we’ve reached a stage where any candidate who refuses to entertain the idea of a no-deal Brexit should be keenly listened to.

Can't see him ever making PM due to his Scottish roots, the present tory establishment have absolutely no time for those horrible uppity 'sweaty socks' as in 'who the feck do they think they are the impudent peasants'.

London remainer journalists are honestly pretty desperate at the moment. Clinging onto hope that the likes of Stewart will get selected even though it's never going to happen. You only have to see how much Change UK was bigged up by the same people and how they've actually flopped to see that.

Are we just ignoring that he seems to have some cum in his hair and is holding his arm at a 90 degree angle throughout that?

If parents don't pay fees, how are academy and free schools supposed to generate profit, short of state money going straight into private hands?

Bit more complicated than that. Non parents are getting involved, taking stuff off the internet and falsely claiming to the parents that that's the material the teachers are using, and persuading them not to talk to the headteacher and other teachers about what's actually going on. Politicians on the make getting involved is the last thing they need.

Yeah, but she looked nice, didn't she?

Great, so let’s allow a child to skip maths lessons because their parents don’t think learning it is in their best interests.

All she is doing is cosying up to homophones who don’t want their children to know that people in same-sex relationships exist. Parents should not have any right to stop their kids from learning that in school.
