Clyde FC; Season 2022-23

Recommended Posts

As I said on match thread full back will kill us this year, particularly LB

desperately need a quality midfield player to compliment Grant’s  tidy football which is improvement on last year but no real creativity. We do look much better when we break forward, just need that quality in the pocket 20 yards either side of the halfway line, ironically like their wee no 7 today.

Still it does seem we are much stronger side than last season not that it’s a high bar to clear.

I don’t really remember their number 7 doing anything of note today, albeit it I wasn’t paying attention to their individual performances.

He was always in space, linking the play. Very tidy with the ball.

I really noticed him coz he looked younger than Olly

Former Accies chairman Ronnie McDonald returns as chief executive and he outlined further changes at New Douglas Park after a “financially draining” 30 months took a toll on the cinch Championship side.

Just when you thought stability & good relations were the order of the day...

Is this articled not from about 3 weeks ago prior to the League season starting - Hamilton Accies react to 'financially draining' 30 months with club rebuild and public appeal | The Scotsman?

Nothing to see here.

My understanding from a distance is that McGowan - the chap we seem to be dealing with - is still around running the commercial side of things and also has some control over the stadium. You’d imagine all agreements with Hamilton would be written in a contract as well so I can’t see anything happening on that front tbh.

I believe that Colin McGowan is the stadium OWNER.  He said in May's meeting that Clyde renting NDP was beneficial to us, AND Hamilton.

We must be excellent, if slightly desperate tenants,  so why would Ronnie Mac want to cause any disruption?
