Less than 10 league goals in 3 seasons. Was rotten with Airdrie at this level a couple of seasons ago. We need a goalscorer to replace the obvious. We've had far too many shot-shy forwards in recent years. Edited May 6 by Brian Carrigan

oneteaminglasgow
No offence lads, but I would be pretty surprised if Niang came to you guys. He’s not likely to get games with us, but I would still expect that he’d get an offer from someone higher up the chain than yourselves. That said, I would assume he’d be a guaranteed starter for you which might be appealing to him, so who knows. MacIver is an interesting one - he’s been at us and Motherwell, but he’s from up near Inverness someone so i imagine your chances of getting him really depend if he’s wanting to stay in the central belt or not. I don’t think he’s great, but he’s unquestionably better than Robert Jones is.

With regards to MacIver, I'd heard Cove and Montrose were sniffing about. He's another one I doubt we'd have any chance with but as has been reiterated many times on here, we have a salaried recruitment team who's job it is to identify targets and sell them the club (no that they seem to have ever done that job, ever).

FREDDYFRY
Ok, could have been worse.. that’s an ok start. Certainly better than we had last year.
the_bully_wee
Lovely stuff. Didn't expect his career to have stalled quite like it has, and he's not a world beater, but I'm sure Lennon will get the best out of him again. Absolutely loved him in his first spell with us!
Brian Carrigan
Ok, that's very nice indeed. Hopefully a sign that we're going to be getting things done early.

Ocelot1877
Nah It can’t be Ray Grant, not with all his loyalty issues surely?!
SLClyde
Imagine leaving us to move up a league, where is the loyalty in football these days Pleased he’s back, good player and we know what we’ll get.

Interesting.
Scott-Replay
I’m sure Ray Grant will be fine. He’s a steady and dependable player. He’s not the kind of player who will win games on his own but I wouldn’t judge him too harshly for getting released by Stirling. By Christ, David Goodwillie was a world beater at this level but it didn’t stop us from being a rabble. I may be wrong here but I’m not entirely sure Darren Young really took to him after taking over.
Adolfo Rios
Darren Young wouldn't know a footballer is Messi walked up and slapped him in the face. Delighted to have Ray back. We never replaced him when he moved to Alloa, so finding him as the perfect replacement for him is...well....perfect.

Glad he's back, the kind of player we have been crying out for since he left. Like said above he won't win matches on his own but its a great start to the window. Also wouldn't read to much into Darren Young letting him go seeing as Darren Young is a grade A walloper
the_bully_wee
Andrew and McGrath confirmed as away, while it sounds like Kennedy will be staying. Can't complain about the former two - if Andrew was on absolute buttons, would he maybe have been worth holding on to? - but I'd be more than a bit concerned if we end up with all three of Gomis, Grant and Kennedy signed up.
Bob731
I saw McGrath sitting with the rest of the team as a spectator at the final Peterhead game and he looked like he had put on weight. He’s still young and hopefully he can get back on track again. Hopefully Cunningham, Livingstone, Rumsby and Cuddihy confirm that they’re staying. Spillane would be the icing on the cake for this week but various rumours about him on here about him being away.
FREDDYFRY
Grant needs a certain type of player with him to be effective.. certainly protects the back 4 pretty well as he retains possession well. Needs attacking option with him as he doesn’t do that in opposing half. Splain (fingers crossed) would work well with him I think but also need a runner in there too. Don’t think Gomis and Grant would work in same midfield. Edited May 6 by FREDDYFRY
