Base is 100k we need to find 150k every season to keep up current funding levels until something changes like getting Ceownpoint or private investor willing to burn cash

Absolutely dire…to think we took 800 away fans to Cowdenbeath in the promotion season a few years back.

Pretty bleak, to be honest.

Crownpoint the only show in town, will find out more about that process soon. No other SPFL clubs interested (but are Celtic's women's team counted as an SPFL club?). The club seem to think it might be possible to work with some of the interested parties.

Covid has actually been pretty good for the club's finances through grants/Anderson money etc, but from here there's a big gap in the finances.

Can't recall the exact details, but current squad wages etc currently at 250k p/a and this is likely to drop to 100-150k p/a. Relegation obviously a financial blow too, if it comes to that. The budget mentioned should be enough to be competitive in League Two.

Can't remember much more than that.

Not being funny but Crownpoint, if it actually goes ahead, which I doubt is just going to end up another Broadwood- that is we’re looking for people to build us a stadium, and then pish all over them when it comes to money. Whether we like it or not Lowland League is coming

Wait a minute, I thought Broadwood was a financial millstone round our neck and now that we are free of big bad NLC and serving our own pints pre match we would be much better off and able to at least compete with power houses such as (checks notes) fc Edinburgh and Montrose.

Other interesting points from the evening that haven’t been raised is the confirmation that Moore won’t be joining Duffy - as we suspected - and that we’re looking to pay him in the same way as Lennon. Also we’ve found out that Jim Thomson seemingly withdrew from his role on the commercial side of things due to family reasons. The fanbase didn’t seem to deserve to know about this and it does also question the point in having more sponsorship/commercial opportunities at NDP if there’s no one to sell the stuff.

Any elaboration on who Duffy’s assistant will be?

Also, how are we paying Danny? Is it instalments? Is it the full length of his contract?

Honestly…poor communication again regarding Moore and Thomson…but sounding loud and clear that the Club are in a perilous position.

I’m sure it was mentioned that although Danny had a 2 year deal, there was a reassessment built in after one year, so I think it’s a payment till end of the season. Not sure it it’s full contract payment or some kind of agreed settlement. I assume Allan Moore will be the same?
Also said there is no budget for an assistant, wonder if one of the players, McLean will step up? Same goes for new players will only happen if Duffy can move any on first.

I did think putting two and two to get four that McLean will end up as some form of player-assistant to Duffy. He’s likely on a higher wage so we can spread that out over a playing and coaching role, Duffy has worked with him before and he has expressed desire to earn his badges and get into coaching.

Hardly likely JT would be out and about selling sponsorship/commercial stuff day in day out

It was a non paid position which is probably why he packed it in

Something like this has to be a paid position or at least a commission paid job to incentive someone to get out there and generate income

But it in all honesty be a hard gig selling anything related to Clyde at the moment

It was a commission paid arrangement and the club is actively looking for someone else to fill the role but no one has come forward
