Clyde FC; Season 2022-23

I can assure everyone that Pat Scullions cult following wasn't because anyone thought he was a good footballer.

Looking forward to tonight to see how we fare against a side more our level. Can't forsee many changes, perhaps a start for Allan.

Agree, really looking forward to the game tonight.

... and speaking of the 12/13 season, Keiran McGachie will be kicking about!

Also looking forward to tonight, it’s our only game in the group where we go in as favourites, although we’re up against a team with a winning habit playing their first game as an SPFL club so it’s going to be a right challenge.

To use the managerial cliche, a reaction from the players to Saturday would be good, we need to offer some confidence that we are a L1 side and a good display and result tonight can help with that.

Agree that we were incredibly lucky that Parry becoming available lined up with Mitchell leaving. If he wasn't available, maybe Wullie Muir would have been a shout, but there certainly wasn't any other goalkeeper of similar quality available to us at the time and we wouldn't be able to sign anyone of a better standard now.
Hopefully he was joking when he said that he thinks Clyde fans don't like him because the sane ones definitely do!
Parry is unfortunate to follow some very good goalkeepers at Clyde.
Mitchell and Aldo Martin for example.

Add in the disappointment of Alloa fans at his departure and their glowing reviews of his performances.

Maybe we expect too much of a league one quality goalkeeper.

Said time to judge would be after first quarter of games of the league.  However think it clear where we are heading this year.

They have been absolutley hopeless so far.  You wouldnt be forgiven for thinking Bonnyrigg are the team from the higher league.

Nearly another goal conceded by JBH.
