Goodwillie and Robertson were not found guilty of anything in a criminal court. As far as I understand, they ended up pissed back at some slag's flat in Armadale after a good night out in Bathgate and had sex with her. Where's the crime in that?

It's unbelievable how much men have become hated in society and even more unbelievable that other men join in the attack. His five years at Clyde passed without notice or comment, apart from the Clyde supporting MSP hypocrite who should stick to fiddling his parliamentary expenses like the rest of his kind, and leave the moral high ground to those with more scruples. The vast majority of Clyde fans loved him and the players and staff appreciated working with him.

Goodwillie just wanted one last crack at full time football, and but for man hater McDairmid he would have been OK at Raith Rovers. And as far as Sturgeon's comment today, wasn't she a recent advocate for women only carriages on trains in Scotland.

I welcome him back to Clyde.

This might actually be the most "she's turned the weans against us" post in Pie & Bovril history.

Whether or not I believe in the ability to rehabilitate isn’t really the matter here. I don't think the punishment he received was anywhere near harsh enough and feel he has been let off with just going about his business far too much. Yes, he would have played at a higher level and made more money. But, I don't believe he should ever have been allowed to play at a professional level again.

As people have mentioned already, he hasn't ever shown any remorse for what happened. In any walk of life people apologise in situations, even when they don't believe they have done anything wrong. It's how things work. So whether he thinks he done nothing wrong with regards to raping the girl, it should never have happened the way it did.

Tell you what…take big Jones back and we’ll forget this discussion

In other news, even with a god awful mainly reserve lineup out, a 9-0 hammering off rangers kids is an absolute minter. What’s the actual point of the Glasgow cup.

The point is to give the four full-time teams, who have youth systems, games. Why we are still engaging with it when we struggle to fill a bench on a Saturday is completely beyond me.

Still, I would have taken a 9-0 defeat in the Glasgow Cup in exchange for QP beating Peterhead.

I really hope the guy calling the victim "some slag" doesn't have any children or responsibilities in general.

I'm hoping for some suitable karma, taking a wrong turn into the Blue Oyster Club where he gets so fucked up that he goes back to someone's gaff for a nice spit roast.

It wasn't in the judge's summary so i'm doubtful it happened.

Checked it, not as I remembered, but pub security advised Robertson to call her an ambulance. He said he knew her and would take her home.

It was in the Sun, so I'm not linking it. I'm sure it'll be reported elsewhere.
