In a strange way our recruitment team are highly commendable in that they have inexplicably managed to unearth some truly astonishing, utterly obscure and absolutely howling shite during their tenure

That Corr- Diamond partnership.  The gift that keeps on giving.

Reality is that we arent going to get any world beaters at this point in time.

Only fair to give the guy a chance and see how he is.  There is a big difference between champ level and league 1 level.

The fact that he is signed on amateur terms tells you whot we can afford at the moment.

Adam Livingstone has some tan. Must’ve been nice up in Cove last year.

Was about to say since when is that Adam Livingstone! Surely a photograph could be arranged and uploaded to a website.

Anyone that's been to Cove would know you're more common to catch frostbite than a tan 🥶

When at the time he'd just turned 20 and had up until then only played in Middlesborough's youth team.  A few years back he also suffered a bad knee injury which has clearly disrupted his progress.

But OK, from your vast experience and knowledge of the game, tell us all exactly what you would do, who you would sign, where you would get the money from, by which month you'd have the league wrapped up, and why it is that a multitude of clubs haven't been knocking your door down to get you in as a head coach for the past decade.

A bit harsh there Brigton, David is only summarising what the ICT fan said.  This site is about opinions and comment. Are you saying that we need more Cassidy/Docherty/Mortimer/McGrath calibra bench warmers as that's pretty much half our summer signings?

The comments on Twitter when he signed on loan for FC United Manchester or whatever they are called is more encouraging.

I would rather we sign the likes of Elsdon, Splaine and Kennedy who are unknowns but have a decent youth background rather than Mortimer, Docherty etc who we know just aren't up to this level. Screenshot_20210811-195206_Chrome.jpeg

Barring a couple of very minor moments late on Andrew has offered nothing. McGrath at least has put in a decent shift but he looked knackered after 30 minutes and still doesn't look like a natural wide player (I assume because he isn't).

Mortimer has perhaps been the most galling performance. He's had a few woeful "clearances" that put us under pressure but, almost more telling than that, despite several chances to get forward his first touch constantly let's him down and loses him any space he would have had.
