Morgan MOTM. Thought the new winger played well as did Stevenson. Despite naming a full bench nobody was fit enough to come on to freshen things up . Wasn't a great game today but the BU's dug in for the 3 points.

Hard won victory.

Not a lot between the teams today, not a bad game to watch and will happily take the 3 points.

On the whole thought ref was ok but he had a couple of diabolical calls, particularly Morgan’s booking, and twice incorrectly overruling the enclosure side linesman.

MOTM probably has to go to Morgan for the hattrick but thought Stevenson was arguably our best player once he swapped to right back.

If only Morgan would make a pass and move instead of trying to beat a man twice he would be a better player. However, who can criticise his work rate or his goalscoring. Missed Gemmell and Nimmo as either would have made a difference. We rode our luck but hey, when the going gets tough the tough get going.

Interesting to see if Max goes for the stenny job like he did when he was at Tranent! The rumour was that’s why he jumped ship to BU’s  as the committee weren’t happy as he applied for the job, only come clean when stenny contacted the club about compensation etc. It’s was only a matter of time before he got the chop!! He was close to getting the job by all accounts, he’s got a big affiliation with the club.

I see the BU JUNIOR TEAM are playing the Linlithgow Rose Juniors on Friday 15th November at 7.30 at Newtown Park. Going to make a big effort to take in that game.

Mon all the Bo'ness teams !!!

Bound to get a good crowd there DD! The joys now for Bo'ness with having floodlights!

You fancy your mobs chances on Saturday Belter ?

A draw would be a good result for the TJ’s DD. Injuries haven’t been kind to us and I think a few more might be struggling. Eventually the injuries will catch up with is, won’t be any excuses from me come 4.45 sat if the BU’s beat us. The team I think will win the league.

Genuinely not sure Belter. First competitive game on the new artificial surface. There are a few BU players more suited to a blood and guts battle in a muddy grass field.

Marc McKenzie our speedy striker has been missing the last few games . When he is missing we have been playing Chris "Dougie" Donnelly up front. Dougie is as strong as an ox, good in the air but has no pace. How the team sets up and plays will depend on the strikers available. A fully fit Gemmell also makes a huge difference.

We have been making a habit of two things :- conceding soft goals (boo)and battling to the end (hurrah).

Hopefully the BU's have a good start on the new pitch.

I’m sure it will be a good game. Every other one has been. A win for Tranent would really put a statement out there though but I would say Bo’ness are favourites.

A few recent training sessions on it will make a difference though. Main concern before and after last Saturday was a bench / bunch of crocks who we hope have a Lazarus style recovery and give Max a headache with choice.
