Burnie_man
Whitehill took their two chances well. They defended well and perhaps got the break of the ball today more than they've had recently. Their "game management" (time wasting) wasn't anywhere near the level of Blackburn. The BU had more chances but that's Fitbaw . We need to show some bouncebackability.Mon the BU's !!Good to see the Burnie result still grates [emoji23]

Thought Murphy was at fault for the first goal and then a a really well taken free kick made it two. United had a good few chances one in which it was easier to score than miss. Second half was much of the same with a good few chances missed and only a Ritchie penalty to show for it. Whitehill are a decent side and IMO their position is false, they defended well and were quick on the break. We were sluggish at moving the ball about and felt Max left his substitutions late.

Deanburn Dave
Boheesian and Jamboness both thought BU goalie Andy Murphy was at fault for the first goal. Have to disagree with their views. I thought it was a perfect looping header he never had a chance of stopping.
Legless
Fans on this page seem far more supportive of their players after defeat than the fans at neighbours Linlithgow. Players over there would be getting hounded out or demanding a manager sacked after a defeat.
8MileBU
Rotten first half cost us that game. Whitehill worked harder and faster than BU first half. BU didn’t come to life until Anderson went off and Keast came on. Missed the composure of Comrie and the experience of Gemmell today big time.

8MileBU
How much longer is Gemmell out for?Spoke to his Dad today. Think it was Monday or a week on Monday he said Michael’s getting an operation on a torn cartilage and will likely be out a month at least after the op. -
Jambo'ness
Whitehill were a surprisingly good team. Still playing 4-3-3 at the score of 2-1, so unfair to compare with Blackburn. Lack of craft in midfield cost us dearly. Craig Comrie was a miss. Advantage now handed to Hill of Beath.

Long way to go and great to see a competitive league.

Bo’ness can hold their heads high with regards to the HOBs anyway having beaten them home and away already.

Deanburn Dave
Hill of Beath still to play Tranent home and away. They also have to travel to Linlithgow, Dundonald, Jeanfield, Whitehill, Camelon, Dunbar, Musselburgh and Newtongrange They play at home v Whitehill, Blackburn, Broxburn, Linlithgow and Newtongrange. So 9 away games and 6 home games with loads of hard games ahead of them. We have the points on the board we just need to show some resilience and bouncebackability.

However, I do think it is advantage to Bo’ness as you have points on board. Haws can have very few slip ups in order to catch you up, but they are a good side! Think it is really good though that both top and bottom of league there are still lots of scenarios to digest!

In a league where the bottom teams can beat the top teams then points on the board are always a big advantage. Still Bo’ness’s to lose
Deanburn Dave
Agree with you Casey. Your head would burst trying to predict how this league will turn out. Having said that I would rather have our points and fixture list than HoB's. I have posted several times that we have picked up a lot of points late in games and have ridden our luck more than a few times. Late equalizers and winners have been a regular feature in BU games. That wasn't going to last forever. That's Fitbaw.
8MileBU
Good to see the Burnie result still grates [emoji23]Of course it does. With all due respect, the Blackburn game and today’s game against Whitehill were both home games which Bo’ness should’ve really been taking home the 3 points from, but just didn’t perform or take their chances. Kudos to Whitehill though for being a decent hard working side who’s primary tactic from kick-off wasn’t time-wasting!
