Bo'ness United 2019-2020

Recommended Posts

Broxburn struggled to turn their dominant possession play into goals as the Blue Wall stood firm. Two hard tackles by Donnelly led to his 2 yellow cards. Debatable decisions but after the first yellow was awarded Donnelly shouldn't have made the second challenge.

As usual lots of daft shouts from both sets of fans as players of both teams fell about and milked every challenge. Who would be a ref.

Yup, it was a stupid tackle and never necessary that far from your own goal but I think he just got caught in the moment.

Spot on. It was good stuff by both fans, it made it a good atmosphere. Bo'ness will be happier with the draw I'd imagine as Broxburn didn't take their chances. Scrappy football at times that should of seen a higher scoring game

Very accurate assessment-Broxburn passed up a good chance to make up some ground but failed to do so.

Can see why Bo’ness are top and will take some shifting.  Dug in really well in the last 25 and to be honest Broxburn never had a clear cut chance in the last 15.

Very very decent performance from Broxburn but lacked the result to go with it.

Broxburn could’ve been 4-1 up at half time if they’d taken their chances. Thought Bo’ness actually started playing better after going down to 10 men.

The first half saw our new back, McGregor, struggle to control the number 7 Cammy?, after the break he got closer to the player and made a better fist of it.

Once the ref had sent off Donnelly, he seemed reluctant to get the card out and a few Broxburn players escaped his wrath.

A better draw for us than them, especially with Penicuik failing to take advantage.

Murphy had a great game and gets my MOTM

@Hissy9 was very vocally critical of the BU from the sidelines today. All sorts of shouts about our “anti-football” and our approach being “launch launch launch!” 😄

Hard to believe. Usually a very mild chap who keeps his thoughts to himself and always endears himself to the opposition.

Dreadful game in which we stole a result. However, the performance by the Ref was questionable, he is regarded as a Grade 2 Ref but he was inconsistent to say the least.
We have a threadbare squad with several players carrying long term injuries, Gemmell, Morgan, Keast, Snowdon, Hunter . New signing  Faulds is out till the New Year.
