Bo'ness United 2019-2020

Precisely. Bizarre to think that Blackburn would do anything other than to slow matters down after taking the lead early in the game. When you’re away from home against a bigger and better resourced team then why would you even consider doing anything else after establishing a lead? For me it was excellent game management and, really, Bo’ness never genuinely looked like they would find their way through an excellent back four and a confident young goalkeeper. Indeed, as mentioned in an earlier post, a little more composure in front of goal in the closing quarter of an hour and Blackburn might very well have made their small band of supporters even happier with another goal or two.

Same goes for Bo’ness. First half was basically a waste of 45 minutes and we’d have been as well playing with 9 men as we were far too narrow.

Andy IMO is the best keeper in the league. Yes he made a mistake today but we weren’t our best as a team today, that happens ! Move on to next game, our record so far still is excellent reading !!

P.s it’s the first time in my 58 years of watching football I have seen a team time wasting 10 mins into a game lol !!

Best get rid of Andy then if he’s so villainous!

Some of the abuse he received from the Bo’ness support today was laughable, short memories or arseholes, not sure which applies!

He made three world class saves at dundonald to keep u in the match first game of the season. Only game I have seen

I would say a couple of support or handful possibly but I would say that wouldn’t happen from 99 percent of BU fans !

It’s definitely no more than a couple of folk, but the shouts that make the rest of us cringe come from the enclosure every time. Some of their shouts are nothing short of a disgrace or a red-neck at the very least.

Keast has had more than his share of injuries up to today was looking good. It highlights the fragility of a small squad which includes shift workers as well

Any plans for Bo'ness running an U20s in the future? 2 of the 3 Blackburn subs were from their U20s and they have shown up very well this season. Certainly gives squad options.

Yes, from a Blackburn point of view, very good game management but the ref had the chance to curb that early on but chose to ignore their players kicking the ball away every time a free-kick was awarded.  A couple of yellow cards early on would have seen them put a lid on that.  Having said that, the BU's could have played until today without finding the net.

Noticed this post which mentioned licensing - "I spoke with a committee member of Bo'ness United and he told me their application for a licence is in and they have had a preliminary visit from the SFA and they have been given some encouraging feedback."
