Jambo'ness
Agree we are still short up front. From last season we have lost 3 front men and only brought 1 in.

Yes we do. Fixtures are out and our first 3 are away. 27/7 Broxburn, 30/7 Dundonald , 3/8 Crossgates and 10/8 home to Newtongrange in Alec Jack Cup

Jambo'ness
Fixtures have been supportive of our situation, with the first six League games scheduled away from home. Obviously nothing could be done about cup ties. First scheduled home League match is Wednesday 2nd October v Musselburgh. Will that be the homecoming match?

The list published on the BU Twitter has Tranent away on 28 September 2019 AND 22 February 2020 hence the confusion. The EoSFL fixture list for the season has the BU at home on 28 September i.e. BU v Tranent. Camelon v Crossgates that day so I am guessing that if there's a problem with Newtown Park they could swap around the BU v Tranent fixture.
HibeeJibee
Dunipace had exactly the same arrangement last season - first home game at the end of September, then a higher tempo of home games until Christmas to get them up to the 7/8 out of 15 mark at the break like everyone else (or 6 out of 12 as it was last season): as it happens their first game was also against Tranent btw. However in practice their ground was ready early and they began with an Alex Jack Cup tie v Broxburn the preceding weekend. Bo'ness have home cup ties on August 10th (Newtongrange in Alex Jack Cup), August 17th (Oakley in EOS Qualifying Cup) and September 14th (BSCG in South Challenge Cup). Camelon are away or idle on each occasion: as it happens Dunipace also played their initial cup-ties there last season btw.

Jambo'ness
Ah well, at least they're taking holidays now instead of during the season.

Disappointed, was looking forward to a wee trip to Ayrshire. No sense in a friendly if players are on holiday and have to bring in Newman, A N Other etc, etc.
John S
Only sixteen in the squad at this time so definitely need to add more players.

I think we might see teams make a few panic signings now.
Deanburn Dave
I am sure the manager has a plan to bolster the squad. Be great to bring in a bit of quality especially up front but failing that lets get some young blood in and around the team to freshen things up a bit.
Jambo'ness
Every chance that a loan signing will be made, now that Ryan is permanent.
Deanburn Dave
Couldn't put a face to our signing from Sauchie Terry Hewitt but looking at his picture on the BU website I recognize him. Hopefully he will be a good signing for the BU's. Hopefully more signings to come.
