I can believe it all, other than Thunder Rosa being taken off TV because of the beef. A couple of weeks ago she was in a Trios match with Toni Storm & Hikaru Shida. There were a couple of scuffles but she never tagged in what was a 3 minute match. Felt weird at the time and figured it was about building a rift between Toni & Thunder. Now i'm wondering if something did happen on one of the falls off the apron. Something relatively minor (also why Britt gets her dig in about how she worked injured). They thought they could get away with the All Out match. Don't know if anyone noticed but Punk went down clutching his standing foot rather than the one he kicked Moxley with. Must be playing into something bigger. Also no idea who Moxley faces at All Out now. One more weird thing was when they were promoting the Rampage trios match one of the dark order graphics had a vacant graphic next to Silver & Reynolds even though I'm sure it was confirmed that 10 would be teaming with them. I've not quite thought this through to a logical conclusion but I find it curious that the two guys involved in the hottest feud in the company for a time have exited in similar fashion. If I recall correctly MJF's last match against Wardlow was pretty much a squash against a backdrop of MJF being unhappy, him having heat backstage etc, and he disappears following a sensational promo. Punk maybe hasn't healed the way they'd all hoped and needs more time, so why not lean in to the stories of Punk being hard to deal with and build chat around that and him being frustrated and disliked backstage. Punk is presumably going away for a bit again, against a backdrop of heat and frustration, and the foot angle in the Mox match protects him to an extent...gives him an 'excuse' for when he gets back (if he gets back). 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Jungle Boy Starks v. Hobbs World Trios World Title Casino ladder match Jade v. Athena announced on Rampage presumably. Other things to be added. Even with some of the matches being obvious they've left it all quite short notice to make it official. You can just feel it building. Punk is always best as a heel when he's the "chip on his shoulder" variety. He seems to have gotten more shine in those last days of NXT than he's been offered in AEW as far as I can remember. Looks like a good show in store on Sunday, capping off what should be a great weekend of it. Think the show is going to feel extremely long with all they've crammed in but admittedly they haven't suffered from the same bloat latter-era Wrestlemanias have had. Not sure they've told the Punk story that well so soon before the show though. Comes out to give a maudlin salmon jacket retirement speech then no-sells it with the mad eyes after a slap from his pal. Will be interesting to see how the match goes though.
