Haven’t overly followed reserve side team lines, but surely there’s something in place to prevent wholesale changes of higher level players dropping down for a weak?

Don't think there is. Players just sign for club so can play for any side they are eligible. Sure manager played for under 20s last year.

There isn't, it operates in same fashion as U20s - being the one club with players on senior contracts they can play for whichever (subject to suspensions and U20 age limits/overage appearances limits).

As an issue it only affects Stirling Uni EOS and they have traditionally not "abused" it - although you see occasional grumbles about a few recognised first-teamers appearing.

They field what equates to their second XI in BUCS competitions, their third XI being their Caledonian Amateurs side.

Didn't realise the previous manager had left.

Oliver did well with Duns in their first EOS season - decent league finish and reached South Challenge Cup final; their second season was less impressive then he left; don't remember much of his brief time at Coldstream; has worked with Berwick's reserves/youths too.

Certainly knows the local scene and no doubt many players.

Its going to be a long season, but Tynecastle will be happy to have built a 6 point league at the top. Still a 100% record in the Conference.

Tynecastle mark 10/10 with an emphatic 15-1 win over Tweedmouth.

In the battle of the long names Inverkeithing are victorious which keeps them in 2nd place with the likes of Preston and Glenrothes on their heels.

"Blast-from-the-past" Tweedmouth...

Tynecastle look imperious - but after that very interesting down to about 7th.

Of course a lot will be shaken up when the Inter Conference games start in 3 weeks and run onto February. Top ends will face-off and some clubs will harvest more points than their rivals.

Tynecastle-Tweedmouth = joint highest-scoring EOS League game known:

1976-77 ... Vale of Leithen 16-0 Eyemouth United ... (EOS League)
2018-19 ... Hill of Beath Hawthorn 16-0 Tweedmouth Rangers ... (EOS League Conference A)
2018-19 ... Bo'ness United 15-1 Eyemouth United ... (EOS League Conference B)
2019-20 ... Tynecastle 15-1 Tweedmouth Rangers ... (EOS League First Division Conference B)

2009-10 ... Hawick Royal Albert 0-16 Leith Athletic ... (EOS League Cup R2)

There have been higher-scoring games under EOS FA auspices of which the biggest known is Broxburn 23-0 Uphall in the King Cup of 1888-89

Don't count out Edinburgh United just yet, they do have 2/3 games in hand over the teams above them.
