What do the stars by HOB and Sauchie indicate again?

HoB drew with Sauchie but were awarded 2 pts after it was deemed Sauchie played an ineligible player. Sauchie deducted 3 pts

Think that is a bit of a dis-service to the likes of Hill of Beath.

iI agree that Bo’ness currently in the driving seat and looking like the title is theirs. But Haws win their 3 matches in hand and only one point in it!

Still a bit to go yet!

They have to win those games. Not guaranteed they could lose all 3

Nonsense, if HOB win their games in hand they are a point behind and deservedly so. Getting the points on the board early looks deceptively great. If the top half had all played the same amount of matches and the points tally were as they are just now I'd probably agree with you. It's still going to the wire IMO.

Surely Bo’ness can only throw it away from here!

Aye, knew it was something like that but couldn’t remember. With HOB right in the mix it’s a shame the situation wasn’t the other way around!

Yup. Exactly.

As explained in a comment above.

Sauchie have been deducted 3pts for fielding a suspended player in their draw with Hill of Beath Hawthorn.

(Steven Dolan - https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish-fa/football-governance/disciplinary/disciplinary-updates/)

They now have 2pts.

HoB have been awarded an additional 2pts.

They now have 17pts.

Even if HoB don't win all three in hand (a tall order in this league) but just continue to collect points from those games at around their current points-per-game rate, they'd still close to within three or four - so although that'd still be a good position to be in for Bo'ness, it's hardly "in the bag" territory with a further thirty points available.

To add to that, as we know better than anyone, there is no such thing as a banker in this league so that ten game run-in really is a ten game run-in!

Agree that it's surely down to Bo'ness/HoB/Broxburn now though. At least one of those teams should surpass the 60 point mark, so when you consider the max points available column for the rest of the pack, it'd be very hard to make an argument for any of them.

At least it’s not 3 defeats!

True, and the reason I can't see us being drawn into the relegation battle is that we'll always score goals.

Hill of Beath still have to travel to
Linlithgow , Tranent , Camelon , Jeanfield ,Penicuik ,Musselburgh , Dunbar and Whitehill .
So to win the league it would certainly be on merit .

They've played Penicuik twice in the lague already.

Really enjoyable game at camelon yesterday. Camelon well worth their win but credit to both teams for getting the ball down and playing some good stuff in pretty poor conditions. Have watched jeanfield several times and they are a treat to watch at times. However they seem to have lost a bit of a goal threat up front as they were nowhere near as dangerous in the final third as they have been when I watched them previously. Have they lost players or are they struggling up front due to injury?

We just weren't at the races yesterday. 2 of the 3 lads who had been away with futsal picked up knocks so didn't start.

Better team won on the day and we just have to get our mojo back as away to Linlithgow next week

Looking at the Penicuik v Lithgae video the Cookie were denied a perfectly good goal for offside. Several chances for the Rose to win it towards the end but a point apiece looks a fair result.
