EoS Premier Thread 2019-20

Recommended Posts

We had 3 involved. No cancellation as we are behind in games oh and the SFA never informed the club of their call up until it was too late!!!

Home nations is normally at start of December so hopefully no call ups for a while unless their teams qualify for the Champions League.

Unsure if many/any Jeanfield players were involved - perhaps not as no cancellation - but Scotland Futsal played the first groupstage of Euro 2022 qualifying in Antwerp at the weekend.

Within the 4-team group the top 3 progressed... but Scotland crashed 9-2 to Montenegro, 7-3 to Belgium and drew 2-2 with Armenia - thus finishing bottom.

Their next competitive outing... aside from Home Nations tournaments... will be in WC 2024 qualifying in 2 or 3 years time.

:(... with such organisation, perhaps it shouldn't surprise we entered qualifying seeded 48th of 50 in Europe - behind such giants as Andorra, Estonia, Malta, Gibraltar and San Marino.

Looks like the laurels of possible challengers to Bo'ness have now crystallised on Hill of Beath and Broxburn. Both have played their 2 games against the Newtown Park men - so will need a winning streak and/or a Bo'ness batting collapse to put real pressure on... They've still to meet each other too (in Fife - date tbc) so a draw in that could hamper both their efforts as well.

Big wins at the bottom for Sauchie and Musselburgh while Dunbar and Blackburn share points. Crossgates being sucked down table and Newtongrange starting to feel in a bit of trouble now.

Another pair of massive games next week with Newtongrange-Blackburn and Whitehill-Crossgates.

Linlithgow Rose in score draw shocker. Three in a row now, and 14 games without a clean sheet (since Stirling Uni in the Scottish Cup). One clean sheet in 17 league games.

4-1 v Blackburn is the last time Linlithgow won a game. Five matches so far in 2020 and no wins.

Aye we're still gutted.  Injuries clearing and consistency of selection has ended a horrendous run for us.

More defensive changes yesterday due to injuries.  Thom and Nimmo as a combo going ahead looked good.

Don't write off Broxburn, still in the mix and a good side.

They are a good side but boness are in the prime position for broxburn to win it boness would need to lose 2 games and brox to win them all. Hob is only 1 loss

Surely Bo’ness can only throw it away from here!

Think that is a bit of a dis-service to the likes of Hill of Beath.

iI agree that Bo’ness currently in the driving seat and looking like the title is theirs. But Haws win their 3 matches in hand and only one point in it!

Still a bit to go yet!

What do the stars by HOB and Sauchie indicate again?

Nice try, but nobody is getting carried away. There are a couple of teams with games in hand which if they win, will narrow the gap to a point or two and one bad result or even a draw couple blow things wide open again. Suggesting it would be thrown away though is nonsense.
