Bo'ness start the year extending their lead to 10 points over their nearest rival.

Greater interest at the bottom with Whitehill Welfare getting a big win and Sauchie adding a point to their tally.

I said after boness beat us cant see past them. Hill o beath have played boness twice but it's got to be boness to lose. Not the best side but consistent and grinding out results. The other teams picking up points like jeanfield starting to get a good run going

The BU's have a well organised defence who can deal with the high ball, hardworking fullbacks and a couple of streetwise midfielders.  Our strikers run and run hoping for that wee break of the ball.    The BU's are not always purveyors of silky fitbaw but they just keep plugging away for 90+ minutes game after game.

I have watched more skillful BU sides but this current BU team would probably match those more skilful sides blow for blow .................then sneak it in the 95th minute.

Broxburn got the win and deservedly so but we're just not getting the breaks.  Should have had a penalty at 0-0, and then at 2-0 down early second half a header cannons back off the crossbar (very similar to last week at Linlithgow). Played better second half, but Broxburn are a well organised and drilled team, who love a long ball!

That's the last game on the pitch, it get's ripped up Monday so Broxburn will be away for around 8 weeks apparently.

Broxburn only beat us by a goal ?

Presumably they're not expecting to win in the Scottish and get a home tie  ?

Question gotta be asked like what if.............

Only a license stopping Boness at present  ?

In what is allegedly a tight league 10 points clear and walking away wi it even at this early stage has got to be admired 👏

Bottom 7 predictable, its always been a case of any 3 from 7 ??

Couple of good results for Bo’ness today with Camelon and Tranent both drawing.

Long way to go though.

League finished? Linlithgow in a relegation fight?

No chance is it finished and let’s hope so. [emoji12]

I keep reading/hearing folk say Bo’ness aren’t the best side. I’d also sort-of agree with that and have said similar myself. But then at the same time I’ve yet to see a team who play better football.

Nobody at Bo’ness will be taking anything for granted or getting complacent just now though. We always seem to have a couple out injured, a couple carrying injuries and not the biggest of squads. Despite our current lead we are well aware there are games in hand to be played elsewhere and a couple of good/bad results for us or any of about 5 or 6 teams could blow the league wide open again.

Agree, and I don't mean this as any insult or damning with faint praise, they are a very physical, assertive team too. They bullied Linlithgow's centre-halves today and when they were under pressure in the last 10 minutes they didn't hesitate to throw themselves where they needed to. In all honesty 2-1 flattered Linlithgow a little.

The league is yours to throw away now, it would take a meltdown to blow it from here :whistle

Linlithgow Rose 0-1 Tranent Juniors
Whitehill Welfare 1-2 Musselburgh Athletic

It was looking good that Whitehill could get off the bottom today. Leading 1-0 for most of the match they conceded an equaliser in the 87th minute. A point still would of been good enough  due to their superior goal difference. However, Musselburgh would go on to clinch the win in the 93rd minute.

Last kick of game. WW scored an unfortunate error from the Burgh keeper and then  sat back, either that or fitter team kept pushing us. Mistake in middle of park cost ww a point. Burgh s 1st 3 points away from home this season. Musselburgh faithful delighted, another late goal costing ww points. How many is that this season ?

Yep at Bo’ness too.  Back to league business tonight. Be interesting to see how they go tonight.
Just looking for a good performance and no cup hangovers.

Why’s it at Bo’ness? Knew nothing about this game or I’d probably have stopped by to watch on the way home.
