dougal44
Good point for camelon ref had a horror show. Not a bad tackle in the game and must have been 8 or 9 booked and McMullan 2nd yellow for diving when it was a clear pen. Tranent are a fantastic team will be in the mix come end of the season I watched Camelon benefit from a very similar but also wrong decision against Crossgates Primrose earlier in the season when the Primrose player got sent off for diving (2nd yellow) after getting fouled when he was clean through. Camelon got the points that day so maybe a bit karma....As a Crossgates fan I often think we're treated unfairly as we are the 'wee team' and it's easier to penalise us over whatever 'Big' team we are playing but after watching that today maybe it's just the standard that is poor.

We ended up lucky to get a point in a game we should have had buried by half time. Fair play to you guys tho, top team and will not get beat by many teams. We can’t keep making excuses, we need to take advantage when dominating games for long spells. Look forward to the return game at Foresters. Yeh we could have been d0ne for at half time

Well yes and no because the same player actually dived to the floor at the free kick in which they scored from

rhliston
Went along today to the Camelon v Linlithgow games as the Albion had a free Saturday. Looked a difficult game on paper for Camelon but very disappointed with Linlithgow Rose today. Expected more from them and the score line did Camelon justice. Not the start Brown Ferguson would have wanted but all credit to Camelon for their performance today fully deserved the win.

Bo'ness win by odd goal yet again and open up some daylight of their own at top. Interestingly it's Dundonald and Broxburn tucked back in mid-table whose games-in-hand could carry up alongside on 27pts/28pts... Broxburn occupied with making cup history, though.
Jambo'ness
The games in hand can make a big difference, positive or negative who knows? The ex-junior sides are used to cramming in fixtures at the end of a season, so no great hardship for the likes of Broxburn or Penicuik. Still the Division is open enough that any of the top 7 could be in with a shout. It seems strange writing off Lithgae this early in a season but even their most ardent fan wouldn't hold out a hope for league success.
Kemlin Dan
Watching Lithgae yesterday they had no heart or fight in that team, seemed to be without ideas as well on how to create something, not to take away from Camelon who basically walked the game but were under no pressure at all and by all accounts looked liked they could have stepped it up a gear or 2 more. Lithgae will be lucky to finish above 12th this season with their last league win 24th August to 3rd bottom Dunbar and 9 points from the bottom 3 teams and Blackburn, also watching the Musselburgh highlights who mauled them and they're 4th bottom at moment. The future is not maroon at the moment.

A long way to go. A lot of twists and turns a bit more balanced. Dundonald and broxburn can still get more points than us but would have to win games in hand. Still anyone down to linlithgow stillbwith a chance. I'd rather be in camelon and boness position of points in the bag
Deanburn Dave
7 games today and 7 home wins. Probably a bigger surprise was 3 clean sheets today which is rare in this league.
HibeeJibee
Dunbar United 2-1 Jeanfield Swifts Expected a sparse crowd, but a good turnout found their way inside a damp New Countess Park this afternoon. Jeanfield should have won the game but instead left their longest away trip of the season with nothing but regrets. Dunbar were understandably ecstatic to come from behind to win and lift themselves from the relegation places to boot. First half was almost all the visitors, with the hosts confined to occasional counter-attacks. I struggle to recall them even forcing a save from the Jeanfield stopper. Perth men couldn't get the ball in the net though, and it was close to HT when a free-kick from wide left seemed to bounce among the ruck of bodies and go straight in with the 'keeper flapping helplessly. At this stage, having dominated possession with repeated corners and spending extended periods camped around the Dunbar box, you expected them to increase their lead during 2nd half. It was not to be and as time wore on the Seasiders began to gain a foothold in the game. They struck back around the hour mark, when a through ball got stood up and blasted sweetly in on the half volley from perhaps 25-30 yards out. Both sides were going for it now... but ex-Berwick veteran Frazer McLaren proved the home hero when he deftly nodded in a floated cross from the left wing, nudged across the face of the goal and into the side netting. Jeanfield, like their attackers 3 or 4 times in opening 45mins, had fallen flat on their faces. Jeanfield looked a strong, pacey and technically agile team and on the basis of their 1st half performance should be much higher up the table. Perhaps inconsistency is their trouble, and if their sparse bench is an indicator maybe their squad is thin on the ground too. Dunbar were on the back foot for much of the contest but never gave up: they'll need that resilience to stay up.
