EoS Premier Thread 2019-20

True, a unique situation, with both teams coming from above and below being weaker, due to how the league was made this season with the strongest EOS teams, and the bottom teams in the SLFL not being that strong compared to the EOS Premier sides at the moment.

Nature of the beast. The EoS Premier is arguably the strongest it ever will be. Chances are this year you're replacing the EoS Premier champion with either bottom of the LL (hasn't gone well for Hawick, Preston or WW so far) or the 4th best side from the EoS First.

Am I right In saying they will have a big run of home fixtures in the second half of the season? In a very good position if so.

Notwithstanding the fact we're top of the league - a possibly false position, given some others have played fewer games - Bo'ness have to be the happiest so far. Unbeaten after 40% of our away schedule, and off to a winning start at home. The only points dropped have been in draws at teams currently, and likely to finish, in the top half.

But losing at a hitherto hapless Musselburgh in the Alex Jack shows the capacity is there for bonkers results, so the "chasing pack" don't need to abandon hope just yet...

Camelon seem to have surged up the table over the last month.

Contrary to some ill-founded scepticism good to see Jeanfield making their floodlight debut:

We have won 5 games in a row after losing first two games then drawing. Be difficult run of games next but I'm sure we will do our best

Great that it's a competitive league, just hope that whoever wins has a licence so there's no anti-climax come the end of the season!

Should do. 5 of the top 8 already licenced. Tranent and Camelon last year only needed floodlights. Bo'ness I suppose are the only unknown but should be able to meet the criteria.

It's only how hard the SFA stick to the change of timings of the process.

Remarkable that if the various games-in-hand were won the table would be:

20pts      Broxburn
19pts      Dundonald, Tranent
18pts      Bo'ness, Linlithgow
17pts      Hill of Beath
16pts      Camelon, Penicuik

Yes it is that tight and that's why I reckon the BU's would rather have the points on the table than games in hand.

Tranent I can see getting lights up in time with groundwork done and planning permission, not heard anything recently from Camelon. Hopefully the Bo'ness committee are spurned into action now they have a competitive team and lights!
