Watching it back, that does seem to be why he was speaking to him. The goalkeeper has to be on the line when the ball is kicked. Not in front of it, not behind it. The Dundee United keeper was capable of following the Laws of the Game on his own, so he didn't need to bother telling him the very basics of being a professional footballer.

Before the second kick Beaton made a point of telling Hladky that he had to be on the line just before the kick was taken.

There was absolutely no reason for Beaton to get in Hladky's face before the third penalty,  if he was telling him exactly the same thing.

Hladky showed far more about being a professional footballer than Beaton did in mastering the basics of refereeing.

His dark Satanic Majesty the forum owner appeared live on the telly wearing an absolutely horrendous pair of trousers.

Looked like he had been round to wisbit's and stolen his pyjamas.

I read that first comment like he turned up dressed as a nazi or something

Glad it was just crimes against fashion rather than humanity.

If Beaton is corrupt then it’s the most inept corruption I have ever witnessed.  He should be ashamed of himself.

I thought it was good corruption,  apart from volleying one in the St Mirren net, by f**k did he try everything.

Assuming we all understand the difference between 'quality' and 'entertainment', this game was a fucktonne more entertaining than this ECL Final.

I’d certainly agree that the St Mirren v United penalty kicks will be repeated on Comedy Gold far more often.

I've uploaded them to XHamster for Dees to enjoy for eternity.
