Seeing Bale might be on his way back to Spurs for around 54 million.
Tremendous signing if he can stay reasonably fit.

Can they wait to sign him until after Tottingham Hotspurs have played Villa in their first match please

No, the window is closed then

Trippier to Atletico Madrid for £20m....Spurs surely need another right back now as they can't just use Kyle Walker-Peters and Serge Aurier for the whole season?

That's quite cheap for a regular England starter into today's crazy market.

Trippier must have pissed off Pochettino in a big way, especially as Spurs have been trying to punt Aurier too.

By comparison, Everton are selling the under-achieving Lookman to RB Leipzig for £22.5 million.

Fair play to him for actually having the balls to go abroad unlike a lot of English players.

I can't see him lasting under Simeone, doesn't seem to fit with his ethics at all.

English players tend to get bigger wages in the EPL - the "home grown" premium.

Not many would be able to leave for nothing and get a huge deal like Aaron Ramsey's.

Any of them could let their contract run down and do exactly that, but they’re quite happy staying in England in their comfort zone.

I don’t actually blame them at all for staying btw, if I could live close to family and earn a massive wage, I wouldn’t be desperate to uproot and move abroad. But I still appreciate people having the guts to try it.

Trippier is an interesting bit of business, Simeone clearly believes he can iron out the faults in his game. Should be a good competition between him and Arias for the right back spot. Hermoso also signed which is a fantastic piece of business. He was a standout for Espanyol last season.

So far Atletico have brought in: Trippier, Hermoso, Felipe, Herrera, Marcos Llorente, Lodi, João Felix and Saponjic. Strongly linked to be bringing in James Rodriguez too. Been an incredibly busy window already.

Still well in profit thanks to the money from Griezmann, Rodri and Hernandez.

Hey look, West Ham have a striker!  They have signed Sebastien Haller from Frankfurt for 45 million

Frankfurt must have raked in a fair bit this summer between this and Jovic moving to Real Madrid.

What's the story with Vrsaljko? Is he likely to get punted or is his knee injury far worse than people think?

He's out until at least the end of the year. Not sure if he will get punted when fit or not.

It's a massive weak spot for Man United, but I don't understand their thinking in this signing. He's better than the likes of Smalling, but not as much to deplete their budget so significantly. Smalling fits the English criteria, and what England need is a world class CH - They're not getting that in Maguire, they're getting another quite good option who's English so helps fill the quota that they already easily fill with duds like the aforementioned Smalling & Jones.

Trippier to Atletico is a done deal, 20M.  I think this could be a really good piece of business for Atleti.

A good deal at that price. It's puzzling that Levy, usually a very tough transfer negotiator, has sold Trippier relatively cheaply in this inflated market.

Danny Rose has been left out of the pre-season tour so he can find a new club.

Spurs will probably need two new full-backs. Any thoughts other than Tierney?

Looks as though they are going with Ben Davies as first choice left back, on the right it's Serge Aurier and possibly they want to promote Kyle Walker-Peters.  Not sure they would go for Tierney or not sure Tierney would go there TBH.  If he goes to Arsenal or Napoli he will be first choice while he is less likely to be the same at Spurs.
