ManBearPig
The referee seems to be trying to make up for the "foul" before Bournemouth's goal by giving Liverpool a free kick every time they are challenged.
Bishop Briggs
Just now, Grangemouth Bairn said: You could have just stopped at Bournemouth are poor mate. Their defence looks awful right enough. Bournemouth have had terrible injury problems this season. They've had 7 to 10 players for most of the season. King and Wilson are missing today and Brooks has been out for months. Eddie Howe, to his credit, does not moan about it like other managers.

You are spot on about the injuries and about Howe not moaning but they are still awful at the back.

Bournemouth haven't done a good job of planning for the replacement of their veterans like Steve Cook, Charlie Daniels et al who are getting older and more susceptible to injuries. The players coming in to take their spots when they are injured are not Premier League quality

Lloyd Kelly and Charlie Daniels are out so Adam Smith is covering at left-back. Steve Cook injury prone (subbed again this afternoon) and Chris Mepham is missing too. It must be hard for Howe to develop a strong and consistent unit with first choice defenders out injured or playing out of position.

Ira Gaines
There aren't many single players I can say I'm a genuine fan of but Milner is one. I really feel he deserves his place in this quite brilliant squad.

They signed Chris Mepham (22) from Brentford for £12m (to replace Steve Cook) In January 2019. Lloyd Kelly (21) was signed from Bristol City ( to replace Daniels) for £13m in July. Jack Stacey, today's RB with Adam Smith at LB, was signed from Luton for £4m in July. The transfer budget is limited by low match day and season ticket income. The stadium has a capacity of only11,300. But Bournemouth did waste over £35m on Solanke and Ibe from Liverpool.

Never understood that one.

Agreed. Jordan Ibe can't get on the bench this afternoon, even with Josh King and Harry Wilson out. The Cherries' fans don't rate him and can't believe that he cost £15m. Mepham and Kelly, the two main defensive signings from the Championship last year, are injured too. Senorsoupe suggests that they are not EPL quality. Mepham was decent at Brentford.

Liverpool took a punt on him on a free as he had scored goals for England's youth teams.. Amazingly, Bournemouth paid around £20m for Solanke. Transfermkt says he's started 12 EPL matches this season, been subbed in 11 and has 5 appearances off the bench. A waste of money! peasy23
Given that several goals have been chopped off for accidental handball by attackers in the build up, I'm surprised that Burnley goal has been allowed to stand.

accies1874
Spurs have been really bad. Five CBs across the back seems like it was devised by some Mourinho parody.

Mourinho could have picked wing backs this afternoon. He should have taken at least one CB off at HT but took both Dombele and Skipp off. Aurier was probably rested for the CL, a poor decision as Spurs badly need the league points. They are as bad as Arsenal and worse than Man United atm. Ben Davies is out of the squad after returning from injury. Ryan Sessegnon can't get a game even when he's on the bench. Mourinho is blaming an unbalanced squad but he's gone back to his negative tactics and selections.
