English Premier League 2019-20

Recommended Posts

Posted in the Champions League thread earlier in the week about how Liverpool's intensity had dropped a level recently and same again tonight. Obviously wasn't expecting that result but was expecting them to struggle a bit. It ultimately wont matter domestically, but if it spills over into Europe, as it did last week, then it's an issue. Really struggle to see how they are going to get past Madrid playing as they are. So much for the winter break rest that Klopp was desperate to have.

Pretty interesting - they're all capable of being decent, and other than West Ham, there's something to like about each of them. 20200229_193849.thumb.jpeg.b5ef06fbeeb28ac889401568aafe1c30.jpeg

If there could be a way for Moyes, Snodgrass and maybe Haller (who hasn't been played in the right way IMO) to somehow do well while West Ham went down that would be good.

16th 17th 18th 20th won in the league this weekend in epl

Decent

Very Villa to be in a cup final and yet somehow still have a shit weekend.
I was thinking this!

They must have collectively shat themselves yesterday.

The odds on that run of results is frightening.

Note to self, get bumped out of the league cup in an early round to doncaster next year.

Oh my.

You can understand those kind of mistakes when the 'keeper is under a lot of pressure but DCL was almost ambling over.

To think Man Utd fans have been claiming for years he’s the best goalkeeper, or certainly one of the best, in the world. He’s a decent shot stopper, nothing more.

His regression over the last two seasons has been remarkable.

He certainly was an outstanding keeper but these days he is bang average.

It'd be revisionist history to suggest he wasn't one of the best in the world when the claim was being made.

Man Utd where careers go to die these days at least.  A far cry from some of the excellent teams that played under Sir Alex and it's hard to see Man Utd getting back to those heights anytime soon.

It is understandable if top world class players and managers wish to avoid Man Utd like the plague just now, as it seem anyone going in there is being dragged down to the level Man Utd are at now rather than improving and pulling Man Utd up.

Another player over-rated throughout his career due to his nationality.

Tbf, he had some amount of assists and goals for Arsenal. He's been shite at Everton but he was an extremely useful squad player at Arsenal.

He was decent enough just not the superstar the English media used to make him out to be.
