Mark Connolly
Did Sterling get booked for that tackle? It wasn't a red, but it was nowhere near the ball, and was out of control
19QOS19
Has this goal line technology failed before? I'm sure it had a near 100% accuracy rate. The official answer is that it's the first case of it failing but I said months ago it wasn't 100% accurate. There was an incident on Soccer Saturday where one of the guys cheered a goal then sat down saying it wasn't given. He was absolutely adamant it crossed the line. Later, Jeff said to him (think it was Dean Saunders) that it had come back only 96% of the ball crossed the line. Skip to MotD and we see the incident (sure it was Sunderland). Looked over the line on first viewing. But unlike what usually happens with them chances, we weren't shown the GLT view. We never even got a slow motion replay. Went to the studio and it wasn't even discussed. Now, if the system was so good it could notice a 4% difference, are you telling me they wouldn't be creaming themselves over that? The system clearly failed and it was brushed under the carpet. They obviously couldn't get away with it today in a live game.

Comrie
David Ruiz back from Jay McEveley's training camp. Looks like it's paid off well. Edited June 17, 2020 by Comrie

Miguel Simao
Coppa Italia about to go to pens if anyone cares. Napoli somehow didn't score from that goal mouth scramble at the end there.

Musketeer Gripweed
We've got the Arsenal physio who doesn't know how to wear a face mask next to the police investigating the Salisbury poisonings out there. Utterly bizarre.

There’s clearly boxes to be ticked, and as long as they’re ticked, the game can take place - doesn’t matter if the people told to wear facemasks wear them over their genitals. They have a facemask - tick box. Game on. Edited June 17, 2020 by pozbaird
Guest DAVIDB69
Arsenal look very much a mid table side and I don’t think they have the required finance to change that

So why the need in the first place? No wonder there is total confusion at the moment.

There’s the three Sky pundits all standing on the touchline, exactly 2m apart, then there’s Hancock in the House of Commons today backslapping colleagues and crossing over the tape markings on the floor to closely greet another MP. No ballboys and balls wiped with disenfectant while cnuts pile in to George Square and protest about whatever they were protesting about.... fcuk the lot of it. Gone totally fcuking insane.
8MileBU
I get it’s the Pep/Man City way, but I just cannot take to a goalkeeper fizzing daisy cutters out of the box like Ederson! Heart attack material to watch even when you don’t give a hoot about Man City
Tartan Dave
You’d be absolutely raging with Luiz if you were one of his team mates. First mistake is forgivable, second is just sheer not bothering his lazy arse

Luiz cost Chelsea a lot of goals by not chasing back or not closing down opponents. He often doesn't seem to care or bother. His contract is up at the end of the season and Arteta would be crazy to extend it. ETA - Taxi for Ozil and Torreira who couldn't get in that 20 man squad! SweeperDee
Timo Werner has joined Chelsea. Some signing for a Chelsea tbf.

Yes, especially if it partly funded by selling Alonso to Newcastle for £26 million! Atalanta are apparently willing to pay £13.5 million for Pasalic who has been there on loan. They would bring £40 million of Werner's £47.5 million fee! Chelsea have a lot of fringe or unwanted players that they can unload to raise funds to bring in more quality players. Bakayoko, Batshuayi, Zappacosta, Miazga, Rahman, Moses, Drinkwater and Kennedy are not in Lampard's plans. Some will attract decent fees, others will just free up wages. It's amazing how much dross has been signed and punted out on loan in recent seasons. Then there's talk of Kante and Jorginho being sold too.

Think Ozil will be away but Torreira was just coming back from a bad ankle injury which might explain his absence.
