Absolutely brilliant play from Martial there in the build up to his goal. And with how effective they've been on the counter, and City really needing to press, they are probably likely to score again.

Without their main centre backs, CIty have been really vulnerable on the counter, not just in this game but in a lot of others as well

Deserved so far, City have been rancid.

Quick counter attacking sides always cause huge issues for Guardiola sides, if they can be clinical, even dating back to his Barca days.

A bit remarkable hes still not found a way around that.

His ego most likely stops him, fernandinho at the back for example, guardiola said recently he likes him there,

It like he will not admit to mistakes in the hope city can just score enough to cover them

What is the law on handball now? I thought it as basically if it hit the hand then it was a penalty?

Same as it always was. They just make it up as they go along.

Specifically an attacker handling in the lead up to a goal is an automatic offence. Defenders, up to the referee.

It certainly seems like it’s made up as they go along!

City are badly missing Kompany and Laporte. The failure to replace Kompany during the summer is costing them dearly.

Guardiola will not play Stones and Otamendi together. They lack concentration, allow opposing forwards too much space and give the ball away.

Fernandinho is missed in midfield. City urgently need to recruit a CB in January.

It still has to be deliberate, but "deliberate" has been explicitly extended to also include making your body bigger or generally not being in a natural position.

However, the law specifically says that typically putting your hand between your body and the ground when sliding is natural and therefore shouldn't normally be a foul.

It's bordering on negligence by Pep that they didn't sign a centre back. In the first half none of the midfield gave the defence any protection.

I look forward to the day that sensible, level headed, rules based @craigkillie wades in to an argument with "Just send the c**t off. It's a fucking penalty! The referee is a fucking b*****d!"

Then we will truly know that the LHC has sprung a leak.
