Guest
The signed contract is the binding part, not the registering of the player, this always has to be done after the players current deal runs out. Therefore clubs can announce if they feel it is a big signing or news worthy without the current club being able to have any recourse or complaint. It happens all the way throughout football, I don't personally have an issue with it.

A player could sign a contract with as many teams as they like at the same time, whichever clubs registers him first gets the right to play him. Each player has a unique ID number linked to their date of birth, so it's next to impossible to be registered with two clubs at the same time.

That third goal was a lovely move...Not sure about his penalty mind you, it was either ice cool or, erm, a bit fortunate Top quality highlights as always!
lokforever
Cheers, he looks a bit like the McCann brothers at Pollok, he will do well at Dumbarton as will Steff McCluskey.
Longshanks66
Correct, but they can't be registered by their new club, so technically they haven't officially signed, whether or not they have agreed terms or physically signed a contract. When can they sign up for the new season ??
glensmad
When can they sign up for the new season ??They can sign the contract any time they want, but that contract can't be registered until their current contact expires, unless they are staying with the same club.
HonestMan1988
Chris Dallas has a year left on contract at Glenafton. Pollok I’d imagine have agreed a fee?

Kilbowie's Finest
David Barron .If it’s David Barron that will be an excellent signing. He was absolutely outstanding when Hurlford knocked Bankies out of the Junior Cup in the QF Replay at Lochburn.

Bul2
As if Lochar Thistle would let their star player come to CumnockIf they have been offered money for him or his contract is up , why not to Cumnock. OR is it that you think Lochar Thistle or the league they are in is a step up from the Junior top league ??
