That is what was pledged when the First Division format was announced.

First Division opens with clubs playing everyone else once within their own conference (and also on the international weekend in mid-November). From end of October until the Christmas break, and through February, it's inter-conferences games. Mixture of both at New Year and January with the derbies, plus on groundhop weekend. Then return games in the conference from March onward. It'll undoubtedly get mixed-up a bit due to cup-ties, postponements and groundshares but the basic principle is a worthy one.

(Incidentally their first return game is actually the derby with Inverkeithing at New Year having previously meeting on opening day... it's cut-off the bottom of that image).

Interesting that the Pumphie tweets stopped as the goals went in.  The eventual score was:

Pumpherston Juniors 2-5 Glenrothes

At one stage it was 0-4 with Pumphie pulling two back in the second half.

The same thing happened with the Tynecastle match.  That final score was:

Pumpherston Juniors 1-4 Tynecastle

In their other game Pumpherston lost 2-1 away to Broxburn Ath.

First chance to watch Glenrothes yesterday, as they battered Coldstream 6-0.

Scored after 30 seconds and were totally dominant throughout. Played some decent stuff and did the simple stuff well, passed it between themselves and looked strong.

Coldstream were putrid, just god awful in every department. One of their guys got sent off for pushing the ref twice in 10 seconds. What an idiot.

There were also no linesman at the game. Is this a regular occurrence in the EoS?

Do you mean assistant referees or people Manning the lines from each club?

If it's the former then there aren't enough officials to provide assistants at tier 7.

As for the latter well LTHV weren't too bothered about supplying a linesman for yesterday's game.

For games outside the top divisions, yes - and same as in the Juniors previously. The EOS Premier Division and East Superleague have ARs (though two Superleague South games were missing them yesterday). The West Premiership has them,  and most of the West Championship as well.

Back 4 average age must have been about 17?

No clue, a couple did look quite young and they were certainly way out of their depth. That being said I have never really watched football at this level before, so it may the general standard.

Number 11 for Glens was a bigger fella but totally controlled the game. Strolled around and dominated proceedings.

Interesting. I've never been to a game where the ref made offside decisions before. He definitely got a couple badly wrong but it must be extremely tricky to concentrate on everything.

There was a period in the second half that had a small child holding the flag on the far side, which was very surreal.

Really.
You have never seen an amateur or sunday league or kids game with no linos ? Probably 95% of all games have no linos in scotland.
You never played football in your life ?

Maybe you should do the  refereeing course then to help out the National situation?

As noted: there just aren't enough officials for all semi-pro football. So only some games in bottom tier of the pyramid are covered, only top 2 womens tiers, and only most top level games in Juniors (plus most 2nd-level games in West).

"Club linesmen" are just there to serve the requirement of the laws of the game and only indicate throwins (probably as much for the benefit of players and crowd as for assisting the referee).
