Annan v Clyde/ Clyde v Annan

Will Nade start? He was my biggest concern on Tuesday but I don’t think he started the second leg against Stenny did he?

Very hard to say. You are right Nade won a lot of the arial flicks and holds the ball up really well.

I would say a battle of the minds between Peter Murphy and Danny Lennon each trying to guess the others selection.

I think Clyde will be out the traps fast and Peter will be trying to match that. Whether he uses Nade straight away or brings him on later for his experience in holding on to the ball.

Team selection will be very interesting. This year with Annan its not just been about 11 men but the whole squad particpating at some time or another - an advantage of small squads ( provided you get lucky with injuries).

Similar to our squad this year. Small but everyone chipping in rather than just a core 11.

Nade played well as a target man on Tuesday. Won alot of headers and did well to hold up the ball or to chest or pass it to an on running midfielder. He's an absolute tank of a guy, reminds me of Akinfenwa at Wycombe. Saying that, I thought Lang did quite well against him for the time Nade was on the pitch. Not sure if the bigger park will suit that style of play for Annan though.

Got to be honest I am shiting myself with nerves for tomorrow. Hopefully it's a less (understandably) cagey affair as well. Will be a sore one to take if we dont go up but Annan will fully deserve it if its them who are promoted. Quite like Annan as a club apart from their tactics :whistle

The main thing that gives me confidence is how well we have played at home recently. Especially against Berwick, Edinburgh City and even Peterhead to an extent. If we can play like that tomorrow I think we will be fine. If Annan score first then we are up shite creek imo...

As much as the nerves tomorrow will almost kill me, I'd much rather have this than finishing the season with nothing to play for!

Mon the Bully!

Never looked forward to a match as much for a long time. You are right BWS I think every fan is feeling the same way - excited but full of trepidation ;  imagine how the players feel.

Peter Murphy has said that is the key - how they can handle it. Got to keep their cool in the heat of battle. Thats where guys like Nade and Goodwillie have more experience but then again the young dudes on both side should have no fear. May the best team win.

come on the Clyde

I know, still hate the nervousness though. We are due a bit of success after so many years of disappointments. Still confident these guys can do it but I may not enjoy it until the final whistle in what I assume will be a tight match.

Cross between looking forward to what should be an exiting day albeit nerve shredding game.

Two teams with different but highly effective playing styles both bang on long term consistent form, the team that can play their best game constantly for majority of match and can defend when opposition have their inevitable spell in the match will win.
No complaints from me if Annan turn up and win fair and square, that’s playoffs. It’s now nothing to do with how many points there were between us etc, different competition now really.
All I ask from us is that we turn up and do ourselves the justice our form since before Christmas deserves.
Team selection vital... Need to play the guys who are comfortable on the ball and can keep possession. We will create, just can’t be wasteful which is probably our Achilles heel this season (if I’m being over critical that is).
It’s actually been a great season to watch and signs of a realistic bright future ongoing, whatever the outcome tomorrow.

All turnstiles in the main stand open tomorrow thankfully. 2 last week was a joke.

Tried not to think about tomorrow too much throughout the week since Tuesdays game but it's hitting me like a train this morning! Think we can still do it if we get the tie level ASAP but fear that the longer we are chasing it the more desperate the players will get leading to errors.

One thing I think is a given that any neutral going tomorrow should be in for a contest.

Last 4 home games we’ve scored 3, 3, 5 and 3 so we can score at home.

Looking forward to it but it’s going to be a nervy 90 minutes. Crucial we get the first goal. Both teams have had good seasons and deservedly contesting the final.

Just hope we can get over the line.

Kenny mackay was some player for Annan whenever I seen him. Was buzzing when he joined QP,  just a shame his knees were absolutely finished.
