Playoff Final - Raith v Queens / Queens v Raith

Recommended Posts

The Raith keeper looks reasonably competent. Well done to him for that. And I see Queen of the South have learned how to press. Gary Naismith didn’t seem to think that was important.

Love the fact Beattie's no waiting until he's told to speak. Keeps chipping in whenever and has even made the commentator forget to speak in Gaelic a few times

Now we're getting the ball down and playing passes it's looking more promising, but the final ball is still atrocious.

Raith have somehow managed to get worse from last season.

Pretty dreadful in the context of needing 3 goals. Queens are well on top really, and the lack of quality in this squad is being shown up.

We started well for the first 15 minutes but needed the half time whistle really. We just don't have the quality required at either end of the pitch unfortunately.

Good turnout by our support though.

Another game where we've made a good start not nothing to show before fading out. How we've only had one goal against Queens over these two games is beyond me. McGuffie is an utter passenger, especially given Marshall looks a weak link for them.

I’d have loved to see him doing well, but the comments from the Raith fans reaffirm my thoughts that the numerous Ayr fans who think McGuffie should be a first team player for us next season are off their fucking rockers.

He will be a first team player next season. Whether he’s in the starting XI most weeks is another question.

Impossible to play football on that pitch.
Totally awful. Must be one of the worst if not the worst in the country.
Aye it's definitely the pitch's fault.

Well this has been beautifully shite. Another second half exactly the same please.

How can it stand for developmental player when Dykes is 25 though?

That's his squad number he is 23.

I’d certainly hope not. Only times he looked good in League One was coming off the bench.

The team is everything we need not to be today. Full of passengers and bar a few completely powderpuff.

We need to score 2 and should just bloody well go for it right from the start of the half. But it's McGlynn and he'll wait until the 65th minute before making a like for like change. As much as some fans don't rate him our 2nd top goalscorer is on the bench today in a game where we need to score

I misread his wiki page, he was only about 20/21 when he signed for you so fair enough as a developmental player.
