If he really believes in Socialism, which is a global movement, he should not be in favour of isolating the UK workers from their European brothers. Workers from all over Europe competing for the same jobs isn't a socialist aspiration. Full employment is the most basic socialist aspiration and it's impossible with FoM. -
Gnash
Just voted. It was totally dead. 4 officials sitting on their backsides for 15 hours administering the votes of the few dozen that can be bothered.

Wonder if they'll be allowed to give out the turnout figures before Sunday night? No idea what a low number would mean though, wary that it could be even better for Farage than the polls predict
Ivo den Bieman
The lower the turnout, the better for Farage. Raging Brexiteer knuckledgraggers will be out in force to vote for him. If no one of other persuasion can be bothered then the smugger he will be on Sunday night. I'll be voting Green later. It's the one election where the vote might actually count.
The Master
Voted at around 8.15 on my way to work. Polling station was dead. It's split into two sides based on address and you could tell both sides were desperate for me to go to them to have something to do. Does anyone else get the self-doubt immediately after they've posted the paper? I made sure where my cross was going, made absolutely sure it was going where I wanted while making sure it was clear and in the box; then checked again it went where I wanted after I'd done it...but there's still that nagging feeling. Totally irrational of course.

Probably, but he won't have the local infrastructure yet for getting the vote out yet. Not sure if that makes much difference though.

It means you essentially entrust to others that which you can't be bothered to think about yourself. Better that than being forced into what would be for that person an arbitrary choice.

Or maybe for whoever is most against the party that is forcing them to vote.

EU elections are generally protest vote elections. This one is that x1000000 That's always the worry - it's turned into a protest vote for them while the anti-Brexiters lack the same zeal - and have their vote split across at least four parties. For that reason I think the Brexit Party will do much better than polling suggests: they'll get their vote out. At least decent weather today so that should help turnout of non-racists.

One advantage would be getting more feckless youth out voting instead of the oldies getting their way.
