Not sure if that makes much difference though. All he's worried about is a few more months scamming expenses as an MEP, and adding a couple of zeros to appearance/speech fees. Sadly, he'll manage it.

For that reason I think the Brexit Party will do much better than polling suggests: they'll get their vote out. At least decent weather today so that should help turnout of non-racists. Why, are "non-racists" allergic to rain?

Broomhill Ultra
I’m working in a polling station in the Scotland region. My station is about 12% so far I reckon, the other two in the building seem to be about 25%.

Im_Rodger
Yeah I know a few people who normally do vote that aren't deliberately. Both pro and anti Scottish independence supporters. Edited May 23, 2019 by Im_Rodger
DAFC.
Got to my polling station at 7.40am before work. Think about 5/6 voted ahead of me going by the wee bit of paper they write whatever on. Surprised I wasn't the first tbh. No-one can be bothered with this.

Green seems to be a bit of a wasted vote on this occasion which is sad. But they are also comfortably closer to my particular views at this time. A number of things have frustrated me with the SNP recently and I'm still somewhat annoyed at centralisation of emergency services as well as frustrated about targets around climate change with not enough policies on achieving these. However, the wasted vote problem is also weighing heavily on me. It's quite interesting as I'm an SNP member who's also been getting annoyed recently, however in my view they're pandering too much to the Green lobby as opposed to concentrating on core issues such as the huge Wealth divide, Education, NHS and local council funding. Don't get me wrong, I do know that their hands are tied by central UK Gov funding to a large extent but I just feel that they've goT too much focus on the popular pie in the sky policies which in the real world are both pointless (due to the likes of the policies of China, India, USA & Russia) and are ultimately undeliverable imho. It just shows that there's much more to it than just Brexit................

Salvo Montalbano
Anyone seeing the stuff on Twitter about EU Nationals being denied their vote? Seems there was a second form that needed filling in despite people posting letters from their local council saying "You are registered, you don't need to do anything else". Could be bollocks and the usual social media caveats apply.

I think Joanna Cherry or someone raised it in the Commons at PMQs yesterday, demanding that polling stations should be provided with the forms so they can fill them in on the spot. Bit fucking late mind. Didn't hear May's reply, probably a brush off. P.S. Here we go. https://twitter.com/joannaccherry/status/1131185997088268288 Edited May 23, 2019 by welshbairn

I made sure where my cross was going, made absolutely sure it was going where I wanted while making sure it was clear and in the box; then checked again it went where I wanted after I'd done it...but there's still that nagging feeling. Totally irrational of course. Still leave the polling station absolutely convinced I've crossed the wrong box every time no matter how many times I check before posting it.

Now that the EU is broadly speaking working to lessen the differences in economies of its members, this argument isn't so convincing but he is too entrenched to recognise that. It's perfectly plausible to be an international socialist and oppose the EU as it stands. Either as a bastion of neoliberalism or because of Fortress Europe. I fall down on the possibility of Remain, Reform, or Revolt but I don't think you forfeit your credentials by being in opposition to the EU.
Miguel Sanchez
Add me to the list of people incapable of putting a cross in a box. In 2014 I went into a panic of "the cross isn't big enough" I mean What
