A postive case for the union

Recommended Posts

The positive case: "We've been through so much together."

Spoiler

Such as the Highland Clearances following the Battle of Culloden, the Battle of George Square, the Poll Tax, the 1746 Dress Act, the Maritime Border shift, the McCrone cover up, nuclear subs and consecutive conservative governments.

I think the positive case for the Union would be apparent fairly soon after Independence. Feel free to carry on talking with yourselves now.

Interestingly, of the 51 countries to have left British control since WWII and become independent, none have ever asked to come back.

If there were a positive case for the union one would see countries around the world falling over themselves to be incorporated into unitary states with their larger neighbours. Anyone know of any?
