Jeezo Tbf PB can actually sometimes be quite funny . However , Romeo is obviously of a lower intelligence and resorting to personal insults and posting silly photographs . I've got a fairly standard family car that didn't take me anywhere near 5 figures in price, and if a presumably fairly decent bike costs anywhere near that much, I'd be aghast. I mean if you enjoy cycling or if it's the only practical way to get around, fair enough, but I always assumed one of the reasons people do it is to save money on not having/fuelling/maintaining a car. I'll re-phrase a wee bit, reading my post back it doesn't really make the point I'm trying to make. - My bikes probably cost worth more than a my car (its my money), they're looked after and serviced regularly (the price of a full mountain bike service would make your eyes water btw). tarapoa
The 'ignoring traffic signals' shout is an interesting one. I am a fairweather cyclist and find when stopping at lights it can take just that few seconds to get going again - I need to get clipped in, get through the gears and will have vehicles revving up behind in what may be a narrow junction. If there's a red light and a green man at a crossroads and the pedestrians have clearly safely crossed, I will occasionally take the opportunity to get going. I actually see this as a positive as getting that momentum is less likely to mean I'm holding up those behind me, and more cars get through the lights. Getting unclipped and going again is a minor annoyance
