Bit annoying that the Lochee United vs. Burntisland Shipyard game is on the same day as Dundee's home opener. If Lochee win though, I can and will go to the 2nd prelim round game.

Lochee v LTHV (assuming both win their PR1 games, which seems quite likely to me) could be a great game. I'll also go to that one.

Penicuik Athletic's tie on Saturday is their first since January 1939 when they lost 14-2 at Hearts.

Hill of Beath was last represented in 1903-04; Broxburn in 1926-27.

Jeanfield look like Perth's first entrant (except St Johnstone) since 1890-91.

Colville Park v Whitehill Welfare will be played at Blantyre.

Not sure Penicuik can claim to be the same club that existed pre-war. They carry the same name, but that's about it.

As said previously when you mentioned this a few years ago, we celebrate the fact the name Penicuik Athletic is still be used within the town after 130 years. It’s not as if we are MK Dons or something.

Not many clubs will have completely intact histories as this level especially around the periods of war.

Colville v Whitehill at Blantyre is 2pm (as is any replay). Postponement would be on Sunday 18th, to avoid Blantyre Vics game.

Linlithgow v Preston is 2:30pm (as is any replay).

Tynecastle v Broxburn replay would be on Sunday 18th, to avoid Boroughmuir rugby game.

Glasgow Uni v BoD replay would be Saturday 7pm, after Airdrie v Clyde, not on Sunday. Which is unusual.

What's the deal with live games? Does it only start in round 1?

Correct... 7pm on Fridays seemingly. Could be a bit of a poisoned chalice for the away side if games in the Highlands or rural south are chosen if that is accurate.

I'll give you good odds on Fort William if home, or Auchinleck if away (assuming they progress), being selected in R1.

As I'd noted on the EOS sub-forum thread - the further concern would be its playability next weekend if the weather was poor. Currently the schedule anticipates Blantyre playing a home game on the Saturday afternoon, then the second attempt at Colville v Whitehill on the Sunday...

That tie plus the games at Camelon, Coldstream and Lochee would have to be played on weekday afternoons if requiring 3 or more attempts. Similarly any replays at Wigtown, Girvan, Whitehill, Auchinleck or Burntisland under the same scenario.

Hopefully unlikely.
