Dindeleux
Saw a post relating to Lee Miller earlier on and I thought a good idea for a thread would be around players signed but with a minimum value of £100,000. A lot of our clubs will only have signed a few players over this amount. Be interesting to see how much money was wasted. For Kilmarnock I’m not actually sure of the answer. Certainly Paul Wright was one and was worth every penny of the club record £375,000 it was reported we paid for him, healthy goal return and of course the Scottish Cup winner during his time with the club. Other than that..... OF fans need not reply to this post due to the amount of players they sign.

David McFarlane cost us £100k from Rangers in 1988, sadly, he passed away after a long illness in 2013 aged 46......
Arch Stanton
Saints broke the transfer record between two Scottish clubs in signing Frank McDougall for 180k. Dougie Somner was 100k and Tony Fitzpatrick was 150k on his return from Bristol City. When TF was manager first time around he went a bit tonto with the six figure signings.Stickroth 400k, Manley 250k, Wishart 235k, Torfason 200k, Weir 120k, Kinnaird 100k.To be fair he did recoup quite a bit through selling Winnie and Cameron to Aberdeen for 250k each, Hamilton to Hibs for 200k and Chalmers/Walker to Swansea for 220k. Hay spent around 250k plus George Shaw for Charnley and Elliott, 100k for Lex Baillie and 150k for Roy Aitken who, 28 years ago, was Saints last 6 figure signing.
PauloPerth
Billy Dodds £400,000 from Dundee Paul Wright £285,000 from Hibs John Davies £165,000 from Clydebank Tommy Turner £100,000 from Morton Sergi Baltacha ? from Ipswich All in the early to mid 90's. There will be quite a few others as well. Think Gary McGinnis from Dundee United might have been six figures but could be wrong.

Radford
Saints first spent £100,000 with signing of Gary McGinnis from Dundee United in early 1990. Alex Totten would go on to spend six figures a further six times in straight deals before his departure in December 1992: John Inglis (Meadowbank Thistle) - £115,000 Tommy Turner (Morton) - £100,000 John Davies (Clydebank) - £165,000 Paul Sweeney (Newcastle United) - £100,000 Paul Wright (Hibernian) - £285,000 Sean McAuley (Manchester United) - £100,000 Club record was set in January 1994 when £500,000 was spent on Dundee pair Billy Dodds and Grant McMartin. The former was valued at £400,000. The last instance of the club spending six figures was the signing of Peter McDonald from Rangers for £125,000 in August 2001.

craigkillie
Alan Stubbs wasted their cut by signing the entire English non-league.

Pretty ingenious from Stubbsy, when you think about it. - Step 1: arrive at Scottish club, observe talented player at St Mirren who might be off to America. Sign him for buttons on a 4 year deal and promise St Mirren a sell on fee. - Step 2: play talented player over fifty times in the season and watch him grab the plaudits. Leave at the end of the season after he wins you the cup. - Step 3: fail down south and return to Scotland to manage St Mirren, get hold of their transfer kitty just as talented player is sold to Aston Villa for a cool million or three. - Step 4: sign Nicolai Brock-Madsen on loan. - Step 5: ??? - Step 6: profit.
