It would make sense for Berwick and Kilby to be paired together on the opening day, which would be postponed, so other clubs didn't go without a game on the 27th.

State of this mob.

"While £12 seemed excessive in terms of the cost at other grounds its worth remembering they don't have the history of support we have "

(Quote on the unofficial Berwick facebook  by someone who I believe posts on here)

Maybe quote the whole thing rather than taking one sentence out of context

Get a read of this pish from the Trust Website - a piece that looks like it has been written by the great John Bell himself, two strands, tripartite meetings, six strands of the plan, the man is off his heid!

We need players on the park, decent quality signings, if you hadn't noticed, there is only a few weeks until our first competitive match,.

Big words and statements that would befit the Daily Telegraph, is all very well, but you need to bench test your strategy, by at least getting  some signings over the line.

You need serious investment to compete - can you not get that into your thick skull!

New beginnings, stuff that, we are still on the downward spiral - what we need to hear is the Chairman, Pike, McMorn, McLaren, Beresford and Exley have all pledged £20k each,  that's £120k and they are willing to add a further £10k each over the coming season, £180k would give us a fighting chance, they have each taken the job, so rather than revel in the status, put your hands in your pockets, like directors have done up and down the country, oh but sorry I have forgot, we are bench testing a new strategy that is doomed to failure.

BELL OUT!

Following our Football Club’s relegation from the SPFL, The Supporters Trust Board has reflected on these unprecedented events in our history, and we now wish to share our views from subsequent discussions.

Before that, The Trust Board would like to thanks Len Eyre and Bill Parkin for all their efforts on behalf of the Football Club.

Work to shape our future starts now, and The Trust is committed to help ensure that current and future generations of supporters will have an improving team to watch; we propose doing that through two strands.

Firstly, we are striving to help galvanise the individuals and bodies into a positive and unified force for change. At an individual level, now is truly the time to step nearer our club, rather than away, and The Trust will be working even harder to encourage more supporters to join us ‘to be the twelfth man‘. The best way to respect and cherish our successes of the past is to step from behind keyboards and become an active member of The Trust, and help us to shape our future. The link to how you can do that is at the end of this message

We believe that the new Club Board taking shape, already encompasses people who have the capability and capacity to lead and drive some of the six strands of The Club’s draft strategy. We also feel that, with further appointments in time, new people with similar drive, and other essential and complimentary capabilities, will be added.

In support of that, we intend to work with The Club Board and The Supporters Club Board to support that draft strategy, as it was presented to us a few months ago, and which the three boards stood behind. In the weeks ahead there will be tripartite meetings with representatives from each group to shape and develop detail of the six strands of that plan. Equally importantly, we will all passionately endorse working together upholding the core values within the plan of Integrity, Honesty, Respect, Realism, Teamwork, Sportsmanship and Enjoyment.

Secondly, beyond building a stronger Trust and working with our friends on the other boards, we are bench-testing our own strategy of how best we should invest our funds, and the optimum role and attitude of The Trust, to ensure we are operating in the way our members wish.

Our next Trust Board is at 11:00 on Saturday 22nd June at The Pilot Inn on Low Greens, where we’ll be discussing The Trust Operating and Investment Strategy; as always, we encourage any Trust members to come along and help shape that with us.

Every supporter has a voice, typing and talking may not allow it to be heard; step forward, become part of The Berwick Rangers Supporters Trust and help shape our future https://www.berwickrangers.org/join-now/.

I've taken time out, had my tea and tried to calm down, all to no avail, I've just taken the face off Mrs L, all because of that trust statement, wtf is bench-testing, it's a football club not a bloody engine off a Ford Cortina.

The Trust have ambitions above their station, their sole objective is that they want and have always wanted  the club for themselves, a supporter run football club is their main goal, however, there is one major floor in this plan, sporadic donations from trust members will not fund a decent playing squad and run the club. The Trust Leader John Bell wanted and got full control as chairman, halfway there, the divisive Trust will think!

BRFC is an established institution, to try an untested strategy consisting of six strands of shite will never work, they are still meddling, thinking they know better than previous office holders, the reality is, their strategy got the club relegated in May, I'm sure if there was another way to successfully run a club it would have been tried before now, Bell is out of his league and he also got us out of the league

To hear the trust are planning a secret society board meeting, just shows that we are still dealing with factions within the club, a little gang with small ideas, tittle tattling in the Pilot on what they will do with the club,. If we are in a new age of transparency, why don't the Trust hold their meetings in the JB Lounge at Shielfield, at least the club would get some income from the bar?  also why aren't  these meetings open to all, they should also include the supporters club (who will probably be having their own secret meeting elsewhere) and the Board!!

Truth is, the only way to go forward in football in this day and age is I N V E S T ME N T, you directors should put it in now or step aside!

BELL OOT!!!!
