Berwick will have zero chance of coming back up , East Stirlingshire thought the same,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,where are they ?

Certainly never had that impression from anyone at the Shire jag. It’s going to be very very tough for Berwick with their location. Not expecting any repeat of the old City Cup Billy big baws chat on here .

When we came down 3 seasons ago  our management and team went and it was a complete rebuild over that close season. I expect the same to happen at Berwick over the next few weeks.

There was a reality at the Shire that it would be far from a walk in the park to 1st of all to win the LL  before takkng on the challenge of the playoffs.

Exactly. The 3 seasons Shire have been in the LL every club has raised their game to play us. Not grumbling about it, it's just what what happens.

If Berwick do come down the the LL then it will be the same for them.

How has it been as a fan supporting your team in the LL compared to League 2?

Ye might be hard pushed to get an answer today, they're in their 1st cup final for a generation today and good luck to them, a fine loyal band of fans they have.

Good luck to Berwick for next season and I hope to see them successfully regain their spot in the leagues and not just disappear into obscurity.

Even  though it may not be the most perfect of set ups at this moment I think having the pyramid  play off is a good idea.

It allows those clubs with ambition the chance to progress to league 2 and the chance to grow and climb the leagues, while meaning there is a good reason for trying to avoid finishing bottom and potentially losing your league spot.

Their fans were in fine voice but couldn’t help them as BSC were physically stronger imo and deservedly  led 2-0 at half time. Shire pulled a goal back then BSC were reduced to 10 for a DOGSO shortly afterwards. If anything BSC had the better chances after that but in the last minute we had the rare experience of Andy Rodgers being rendered speechless when he missed a golden chance, bulleting  a header from a corner inches past the post. FT 2-1 BSC.

Not long back from our Cup Final today.

For me the split is 30 years of Shire of watching Shire in the Scottish League and 3 seasons of Lowland League footy

Obviously, the desire is to get the Shire up the leagues, as far as we can go, the same as any club's fans but, even after 3 seasons, going into a fourth, the Lowland League is an enjoyable experience, visiting different grounds, meeting great people. Of course, Berwick was always one of our favourite trips in the past, so it's the best of both worlds now.

Gardening leave you say? Given previous P&B mumping about Meggetland the most obvious explanation is he was there to cut the grass, IMO.

No doubt he would probably make an arse of that as well.

We'll have to await the post-trim interview.

I'm sure he cut 100%, the throttle is still in his own hand, and he can only work with the mower he inherited.

I can see him falling out with the petrol mower letting it move on in transfer window while he brings in a hand push mower from the lower leaves.

Yes I did mump about the length of the grass a few weeks ago but must compliment Edinburgh Leisure for the way they presented the pitch for today’s match.

The Shire were able to raid Camelon to put a strong LL quality squad together in their first season down. Not so easy to find the answers locally for Berwick. Will be interesting to see how Berwick get on recruiting players from in and around Edinburgh when they are at the same level as Spartans, CSS, Kelty and possibly Bonnyrigg Rose
