2019/20 League Cup

Something didn't seem quite right with that process for the unseeded teams.
Someone else can perhaps crunch the numbers in terms of the odds of being drawn in a certain group, but it didn't seem right that after the first unseeded team was drawn, the next three drawn couldn't be in that group (and second, next two etc.).
Surely it would be better to put the group ball back in and only remove it once all the slots are filled?

Or why not just draw the unseeded ones out one group at a time and get rid of the group balls altogether. They’re unnecessary at that point, in fact they’re essentially unnecessary for the whole thing!

It doubles the amount of time the draw takes for absolutely no reason.

When Hibs got drawn out first, I thought 'Group A', and then they put us in Group C. Why not just do it chronologically? First team goes in A, second in B etc.

Well, yes. That would be an option as well.

They just ended up with a bizarre half-way house where allocating groups to the unseeded teams was pointless because they still ended up excluding certain teams from certain groups before they were full.

On the upside, I know now 40 pointless facts about the League Cup.

Could do without getting pumped by Motherwell for the trillionth time, tbh.

Hopefully Annan is one of the away games and we get a good day out at least.

Aye fingers crossed for Annan away, great trip! The rest is stinking.

No exact time but it will be after BT make their selections.

Hearts vs Dundee Utd is an absolute lock. I'd try and get Thistle vs Clyde and would want to feature Cove at some point since they're just up.

pretty sure it didn't take too long last year

I think youre spot on with the first game but I could see Hamilton-airdrie from the clyde group tbh along with the "mouthwatering" all spl tie SJ-ross county

Could this be the mythical trip to Palmerston?? Along with Montrose, it's the only "traditional" ground I've not been to watching 'Well - so I'd be buzzing for that one...

Must be a 2 in 3 chance, if that's a thing, of visiting Palmerston then, presuming Morton are the second seeds and will visit Fir Park?

Just think, Palmerston in the League Cup, then a trip to Montrose in the Scottish Cup, job done.

Does this include the Elgins, Annans, Peterhead, and Edinburgh City?  What about Cove?
