Still think it should be regionalised then seeded, not seeded then regionalised. Likes of Hearts + Hibs ending-up in 'North' section when you've got Edinburgh City + Berwick in 'South' section, weird.

Indeed this time sees Hearts + Hibs = North... Livingston (tbc) + Dunfermline = South... Alloa = North... etc. etc.

I think it's much fairer to seed it based on footballing merit rather and then have geographical concerns second. Doing it your way you could theoretically end up with all 8 Premiership clubs in the same section.

This:

Dundee, Dundee Utd, Ross County, St Johnstone
Alloa, Dunfermline, Falkirk, Inverness
Arbroath, Brechin, Cove, Cowdenbeath, East Fife, Elgin, Forfar ,Montrose, Peterhead, Raith, Stenhousemuir, Stirling

Hearts, Hibs, Motherwell, Livingston
Ayr, Hamilton, Morton, St Mirren
Airdrie, Albion Rovers, Annan, Berwick, Clyde, Dumbarton, East Kilbride, Edinburgh City, Partick, QotS, Queen's Park, Stranraer

looks perfectly reasonable, IMO.

This season it does, but it's not guaranteed to be future proof. It's not entirely unrealistic to imagine a time in the not too distant future where Celtic, Rangers, Hearts and Hibs all qualified for Europe, and the remaining top flight clubs were Aberdeen, Ross County, Inverness, St Johnstone, Dundee, Dundee United, Dunfermline and Falkirk. In that case you'd have all 8 seeded teams in the north region being in the Premiership, and all 8 seeded teams in the south region are in the Championship.

Falkirk won't have to worry about that for a while. Killie look their gonna remain a top-flight side for the next decade at least after their mega European run next season.

Hamilton will finish 10th in the Premiership every season until the planet is wiped out in a nuclear war.

Or a planet killing asteroid hits earth or Yellowstone erupts in a supereruption, either way all life will be killed off in the resulting volcanic winter.

If the timetable is the same as last year, presumably we'll get the draw for this later this month. Anyone know the date for this?

even once the draws made it takes them forever to release the actual fixtures
