Elgin v Berwick

Recommended Posts

Our centrebacks are fine as individual players. Mchardy would play in the majority if not all of teams in this league and bronsky has shown enough to suggest he’s perfectly capable but there is no organisation and the full backs have offered nothing defensively this year.  We’ve struggled going forward this year and it’s exposed the lack of cohesion in the defence when we can’t pin other teams back and are constantly under pressure.  A couple of decent signings can transform a team in this league but as usual it’ll be the quality of loan signings we get that will make the difference.

Craig Beattie

I'd have to agree with this.  Surprised that he was talking about being the main CH and that he would talk his partner through games. We persevered with him for too long even though it was obvious that his legs were long gone.

The on-off saga with S***e didn't help morale either. Heard a story that he wants to come back already.

We've not been good enough, obviously, but we seemed to pin a lot of our hopes on this fantastic experienced leader that would be a rock at the back. What we actually got was an unfit, overweight wanderer who couldn't stay in position and struggled to kick the ball cleanly. Really strange one. I have no doubt that if we'd had the player we expected we'd be in the playoffs.
