Team of the season,

The thing that sets Shankland apart from the rest after a high scoring season is that he gained promotion and then stayed with the same club the next season and took that confidence with him. Too many players leave the next season and break momentum. Ryan moved to us and couldn't get a start ahead of Clark. El Bak took too big a jump and looks to have ruined his career. McManus went to Fleetwood and couldn't get game time. Moffat moved to us and we ended up finishing 7th in league one in a disaster season. In some cases like Moore and Vaughan, injuries have been the problem.

Football's a short career and players should be entitled to move on when their stock is at its highest.

Strike while the iron's hot!

Official PFA team of the season:

Marc McCallum ( Forfar)

Jason Thomson ( Arbroath)
Thomas O’Brian ( Arbroath
Ricky Little ( Arbroath)
Euan Murray ( Raith)

Bobby Linn ( Arbroath)
Dale Hilson ( Forfar)
Gavin Swankie ( Arbroath)
Don Thomas ( Dumbarton)

Kevin Nisbet ( Raith)
John Baird ( Forfar)

Can’t really argue with any of that. Mainly players from the top 3 teams either the only other player that’s stood out for pretty much the entire season outwith the top 3 being Dom Thomas.

Think the lack of East Fife players in anybody's selections just highlights how spectacular our fall from grace was since the turn of the year!!!
If the polls were held at Christmas time we would have had 4-5 players in most selections quite comfortably!!!
Tbf I wouldn't have had any of ours in them either!!!

I'll come back in two weeks for bishopburn boy's reply to this one.

Sorry , lads , when you have an actual job and a life , you can’t be hanging on every post and reply on  P&B .

My apologies, therefore  for my tardiness of response , to your collective wit .
