griffiti on the wall
What is the goal difference like?Aye we need to find a goal scorer from somewhere.Even if it's from s set peice and we keep it tight at the back We got goal scorers and creators in the team they just need to step up but would not under estimate any team but it's do or die nowKilbirnie have -22Renfrew - 25

Den Spark
Lochee United 3 Tayport 0 Tayport obviously didn’t study the match report from Lochee’s victory over Kirriemuir Thistle on Monday evening or they might have taken steps to counter Bluebells captain Greg Kirk. The skipper was on target with a hat-trick of headers against Kirrie and he was at it again with a first half double from Dougie Cameron corner kicks to set the home side on the way to another three points in their quest for the Superleague title. Tayport looked promising early and they went close with a free kick that just went past Jordan Millar’s left hand post but Lochee dominated after that and the visitors rarely threatened. Lochee almost scored twice within a 60-second spell when Cameron and Reece Ritchie combined to set up Grant Lawson with a great chance which he put wide. Less than a minute later Lawson returned the compliment to Ritchie whose effort came back off the Tayport bar. The Bluebells took the lead on the half hour mark when KIRK got his head to a Cameron corner and bulleted the ball past Jack Shaw. Seven minutes later the same combination struck again as KIRK stooped to knock the ball over the line. Just before half time Tayport responded with a Luke O’Brien free kick that was easily held by the home keeper. Four minutes into the second half a piece of quick thinking by Tayport striker Dayle Robertson saw him try to catch Millar out with a shot from the halfway line but the ball drifted wide. Millar had to be alert again on the hour mark, turning a Jamie Gill free kick over the bar. The visitors were soon pressed back, with the non-stop running of Danny Cavanagh presenting them with plenty of problems. Ritchie set him up with a shot from the edge of the box which he sent wide on 66 minutes but, a minute later, Connor Birse found CAVANAGH on the edge of the Tayport box and his shot beat Shaw and ended up in the back of the net. There were no further goals but Tayport dangerman Robertson almost grabbed a consolation in the dying minutes with a snap shot from 25 yards that flew just wide. Lochee United: J Millar, D Millar, Kenneth, Kirk, McWalter (Reid 78), Cameron (Davie 73), Ritchie, Lawson, McNally, Cavanagh, Birse (Deasley 83). Tayport: Shaw, O’Brien, Sturrock, Conway, Suttie, Zata (Christie 78), Payne (Chalmers 55), Mackie, Robertson, Rollo (Ireland 72), Gill.

He was substituted to a avoid the likely red card as the red mist descended. Pretty much men against boys overall.
jimbaxters
What happened at Beith? Were Kilwinning that good or Beith that bad? Talbot go to Kilwinning in the run in so interested to find out.

Kilwinning were a big strong side and unfortunately Beith just never really got started from the first minute to the last minute, one of them the boots seemed on the wrong foot sort of nights, we can't have any complaints as kilwinning were worthy winners, Talbot will take care of kilwinning no problem though for me.
SoccerSmith
I travelled all the way to Largs last night for the game to be abandoned. At least I had an enjoyable fish & chips.

At least I had an enjoyable fish & chips.Curiously its the second time Largs have had a game affected by high winds. Game vs Pollok earlier in season was postponed with roughly an hour before kick off due to high winds. Pitfalls of playing on the coast.

It was the exact same for the Largs v Beith game recently, the wind played a big part in a scrappy game, I've been to loads of games at largs and some as a neutral and I've never ever saw a good game down there.
