Peterhead v The Binos

Recommended Posts

Our last away game of the season and we travel to Balmoor Stadium to face a Peterhead side needing a win to clinch the League 2 championship and promotion to League 1

The question to be asked is can we delay the celebrations on Saturday or will we be heading to another defeat at Balmoor this season.

On present form cannot see past a Peterhead victory on Saturday, unless we can surprise ourselves with a good performance on Saturday.

Always a good day out at Peterhead and expect our hosts to be Champions at 4.50 pm.

Prediction Peterhead 2 Binos 0 :guinness

It would be shite to have you win the league at Hampden.

I dunno, they would bring a few more fans down than usual if they needed something next week. We'll need all the dosh we can get for the big move to Lesser. Definitely want them promoted though, our record up there is dreadful , although I'd miss the stop at Stonehaven

They won it at Broadwood did they not?

Shockingly poor turnout from the champions-elect, it's almost as if it doesn't matter.

They’re probably pissed because that squad should have walked the league at a canter and had the title wrapped up well before now.

The only reason they haven't won the league at a canter has been Clyde's superb form. They've maybe not been convincing in a lot of games but Peterhead have had an excellent season whatever way you look it at.

In the last 10 seasons, only Rangers have a better record after 34 games than Peterhead currently do. Our points tally (even with four points removed) will be the best for any second placed side in that same period, bar Peterhead last season (and we can still exceed their tally).

In a nutshell.

Either because of, or in spite of our excellent form since October, featuring 1 legitimate but highly-tainted defeat, Peterhead have done superbly keeping themselves in the driving seat. That said, i do feel they are in regression, and need a few changes to progress further. This has perhaps contributed to them looking merely experienced and at times dull, rather than the very good side that they actually have been. When they go up, or even if we somehow overtake, i think they need to heed the warning signs. We put together a proper team fairly quickly from the mess DL (and NI) both inherited....we've laid down the marker, if anyone has.

agree with both the Clyde posters above Peterhead have had a very good season the points total tells you that and they have hit the top and stayed there ok maybe ground out results but so have we at times
I do think they don't look as good as last year that maybe down to as has been stated the team getting near the end of the road
but still look a pretty useful unit
