He’s a cracking wee player Jack Marshall and will be a huge boost for Newton as will Robert Middleton if he does indeed stay ! Not heard a lot of movement in South teams bar obviously Threave although Abbey Vale appears to have retained the bulk of a very decent side. Saints advertising for a Manager tonight , who’ll get that job ?

To be fair is wasn't his fault they never registered him correctly

They will be a decent strong side still Stranraer but massive lose with their 3 main strikers gone and couple other promising younger boys gone so don’t think they’ll be challenging this season

I can’t see many takers for the Saints job personally, poor team whenever I seen them last year and can imagine boys will leave if no manager there for pre season.

Newton Stewart have signed Jek “the mad man”  Kiltie.

He once bit a player on the ear after they  stood on his toe.

Although he is now 43 years of age, he still managed to make level 13 on the recent bleep test.  Well done John!

Valuable experience in Jeck despite his advancing years ! Could look after a few of Newton’s youngsters if the going gets tough

will be interesting to see what squad we have this Saturdays game v Whitletts Vics,  I know we had a couple of U20’s playing towards end of last season therefore I expect them to step up
