New Elgin and Bishopmill United used to be literally side by side in a public park before one of them went defunct.

They were from opposite ends of the town, too.

Haven't highlighted anything on the photo - those with blue/red borders are hockey pitches.

Edinburgh Uni play at the University Stadium East Peffermill which is extreme bottom left.

Leith Athletic moved from the 'rough'-looking 3G football pitch (mid-image) to the 'cleaner' one surrounded by 5-aside pens.

They're probably 50-60yds apart at their closest points.

Think it's Bridge of Don Thistle who play at the Chris Anderson - yeah, that's a contender. Hermes and Hall Russell Utd are also very close clubs in Aberdeen, though not as close as these two.

I don't see why Edinburgh Uni and Leith Athletic wouldn't count, but their pitches aren't as close as some of the others here.

The stadium wasn't demolished, it's still there, with the pitch inside the running track and the seats under the roof. Aberdeen Women played Rangers there in the Scottish Cup a few weeks ago, see gallery here for pics: https://rangers.co.uk/news/galleries/gallery-aberdeen-0-1-rangers-wfc/

Bridge of Don Thistle still play there, with East End next door.

The Google placemarker for the stadium is on top of East End's pitch.

The Chris Anderson Stadium is within the Aberdeen Sports Village and was home of Lewis Utd until the club folded in 2018 with Bridge of Don Thistle returning to Aberdeen from Newburgh to use the pitch.

Aberdeen University who also had a team in the Juniors also used the pitch until they moved to Hillhead to replace Bridge of Don Thistle who had moved to Newburgh. Quite a bit of a merry-go-round.

The Chris Anderson Stadium was given a huge refit a decade ago, new roof seats etc, much improving the facilities and ridding the place of the resident seagulls nesting on the roof. One big part of this was the joined access to the Aberdeen Sports Village behind with its indoor football pitch, dressing room facilities. gym etc.

Been there, its impressive.

Here's a picture of the stand before the work done

It's complicated...

Aberdeen University own Hillhead. It was previously known as Keith Park and the university acquired it in the late 90s when Bon Accord Juniors folded, using it for various sports teams including the University amateurs in the AAFA. Wilson's XI then moved in when they joined the juniors and changed their name to firstly to Hillhead Juniors and then again to Bridge of Don Thistle.

When Aberdeen University joined the juniors, NRJFA rules precluded two junior clubs sharing a ground, so BODT had to move to Gallowshill Park in Newburgh. They changed their name again to Newburgh Thistle (but didn't merge with the amateur club, just groundshared). When Lewis Utd folded, they moved back to Aberdeen to the Chris Anderson Stadium part of the Aberdeen Sports Village and reverted back to being BODT (despite never having played in Bridge of Don).

The ASV itself is partly owned by Aberdeen University as they invested a lot into it when upgrading their sports facilities. Some of its amateur sides use it for training, as well as the older pitches at Balgownie, which is in Bridge of Don.

Or something like that, anyway...

3.5km Hearts - Edinburgh City

3.71km Queen's Park - Celtic

3.84km Rangers - Partick Thistle

4.23km Edinburgh City - Hibs

4.44km Rangers - Queen's Park

4.46km Falkirk - Stenhousemuir

4.73km Hibs - Hearts

4.74km Motherwell - Hamilton Accies

5.04km Aberdeen - Cove Rangers

5.16km Partick Thistle - Celtic

6.15km Partick Thistle - Queen's Park

6.26km Celtic - Rangers

6.76km Dunfermline - Cowdenbeath

8.18km Alloa - Stirling Alb

What have I missed?

Pretty sure there was a feature on a borders junior club, maybe Melrose? on a view from the terrace.

The football pitch backs onto the rugby stadium.

Does two sports count?

Berwick and Tweedmouth do that I think, so do a couple of others down the league's and in England. Closest I've been at was Jarrow Roofing and Boldon Collie in Newcastle.
