Toby
Always baffles me why folk get so worked up about folk asking simple questions re: the rules. Yeah, the away goals rule has never applied, but some folk don’t necessarily pay attention to every aspect of the rules, and surely this is absolutely the ideal place to ask if they are unsure? It’s like those who froth at the mouth about the name of the top tier- aye okay, it’s called the Premiership, and has been for years. Plenty of folk call boozers by their old names, what’s the big deal?

Indeed, if certain people had asked simple questions regarding the rules, Clyde would be 2 points and +2 GD clear at the top of the league

Banks o' Dee (or a.n.other) would need to apply, I think. @HibeeJibee or @Jimmy Shaker would probably know. It's up the league. They can choose to admit another member or run with an odd number. Just depends on how the member clubs feel I suppose.
Jimmy Shaker
The SHFL is always open to applications, AFAIK. It's run with 15 teams in my time and the plethora of winter postponements means no one really notices for most of the season as half the league will occasionally sit idle on any February weekend.

They don't have to fill the place AFAIA (though sometimes just now it seems like anything goes anyway tbh!). BoD are the obvious candidate and clearly it would be controversial if they asked to join and got rebuffed. Halkirk have expressed interest before. HL might also envisage Fort William throwing in the towel now or in future - getting them down to 16?

Probably accompanied by faux-journo puff pieces asking if Cove or East Kilbride can step up to senior football. Of course senior football came to EK when they joined LL back in 2013-14.
Bring Back Paddy Flannery
HL might also envisage Fort William throwing in the towel now or in future - getting them down to 16?Judging by the tweets they fired out at the weekend they will be staying in the league until they are "relegated". Of course that may change if they have funding issues or issues fielding a squad but they seem pretty adamant they are going nowhere.
