I was also in Kilmarnock a month ago (I get around).

Other than happening to be in Ayrshire, I wondered what the Burns connection was seeing as the town has the Burns Mall and the fancy Burns Monument.  Am I right in understanding that the tenuous link is that Killie is where his printer was based?!

I’m sure some Burns fans will be on to correct me in a bit, but, aye, essentially.

Cheers.

Probably explains why Aberdeen also has a statue.  He came here once.

There's also a unit named after Burns at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The town of Niagara Falls (Canadian side) is a complete shithole.  It's the illegitimate love child of Vegas and Blackpool, nothing but Casinos, diners and shops selling useless tacky shit.

Niagara on the lake on the other hand, is probably the nicest town I've ever been to.

Anywhere he has pumped a few local tarts has a statue hence the proliferation throughout the country.

The Golden Gate Bridge.

If you've been to North Queensferry on a summers day and blocked the other bridges out of view, then you've pretty much had the GGB experience.  The skyline of San Fran' is further away than you might think, that's if it's not hidden by the fog, plus you can't see anything outside of the bridge if you're driving over it.

Also, it's not even golden, it's red.

Thanks m8. A Shetland Pony in stature you may be but some bits of you are pure Clydesdale.
Onnl the subject at hand, I was once at a nice indian retaurant in Aberdeen with my then colleagues. We were all working away from home Monday to Friday at that point so we did a fair bit of this type of socialising. Anyway, drinks were had and one lad was regaling us of his experiences of anal sex. He had previously been obsessed with it and the punchline was very much a "never meet your heroes" style.

He was very very loud. People were eating.

Brooklyn Bridge was shite as well. Jam packed with folk walking slow as f**k and if you move out to overtake you run the risk of being 9/11ed by a cyclist.
